The service and ambiance were great, and the breakfast was delicious. It's also a pet-friendly hotel, and it's a short taxi ride to the ancient city even when it's raining.

We booked four rooms, and all of them were assigned to the worst possible locations. The rooms were tiny, and one of the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned at all – it smelled of urine and had stains. When we reported this to the front desk, all they said was, 'Then just change rooms.' There was not a single apology throughout the entire interaction. Is the InterContinental brand really that prestigious? We paid 500 yuan just to experience this kind of service. The next day, we promptly switched to Jinjiang. Definitely avoiding this place in the future.

The room was very comfortable. I thought the cleanliness was poor based on the reviews, but it was actually very good. The hotel sink and shower had some scale from constant water use, but a maid came to clean them every day. Overall, it was excellent. I loved the bedding and slept very comfortably. The quilt was soft and the pillows were plush. The balcony was cozy. Sitting there with a cup of coffee and gazing at the distant mountains was a wonderful, refreshing experience. The best part of my trip to Guizhou was the hotel, followed by the sour soup hotpot. Distance: The hotel is very close to Qingyan Ancient Town, generally a short walk or taxi ride of around ten yuan. This stay was very satisfying! Zhang Yan and Wu Jiayao at the front desk had a great service attitude, and the hotel parking was convenient! The facilities in the room were very complete, clean and tidy, and all daily necessities were available. Special thanks to Amy, Bella, and Xiaohui at the front desk. We changed our shoes when we drove away, but forgot to take them in the car and left them in the parking space. We only remembered them when we arrived at the next destination. They immediately called the hotel and informed us of the detailed location of the shoes in the parking space. They quickly found the shoes for us and delivered them to us! There are two resort hotels in Qingyan Ancient Town, one is Holiday Inn and the other is Holiday Inn Express. When traveling, I always give priority to Holiday Inn, after all, the quality is there. I have stayed in Holiday Inn and Express in other cities, and generally there is only Express in second-tier cities. This time I stayed in Holiday Inn, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel environment and service quality still meet the Holiday Inn standards, including the parking lot downstairs, which is still relatively bright. However, the shortcomings are also obvious. 1. The room is very small, and the bathroom is also very small. The size of the room is about the same level as the Holiday Inn Express I stayed in before (the supporting balcony occupies too much area). In the bathroom, two people can't turn around at all. One person blows his hair, and the other person has a narrow path to pass! 2. The shower water is super small! ! Originally in Xijiang Hotel, the water was big and not too hot. I wanted to stay in Holiday Inn to take a good shower and relax. The bath water is really unimaginable, and it is comparable to a solar water heater. 3. The breakfast is not good. One feature of Holiday Inn is that there will be one or more local delicacies for breakfast. Qingyan Holiday, breakfast is marked as "Ciba Porridge (I think this is the name)", but I asked the restaurant staff and they confirmed that there is no such thing! After walking around, the dishes are also available, but there are only a few varieties, which are slightly better than the Express. The price is 100+, which is actually not worth it. If I come to Qingyan next time, I may stay at the Express. The price difference of 400 is obviously not much improvement.
