Northern Pearl ★★★

"Overall, I'd most definitely give around 4.5 stars as I would come again. Of note, the staff are all incredibly nice and polite. They're were all so receptive and willing to assist with a myriad of tasks. Also for the included breakfast, I think their vege sandwich option was incredible. I will say however that the internet can be a tad spotty, which could be frustrating if you are planning to work virtually. Also depending on the room, insects and other little guys can be common guests. This is more a design flaw than anything as housekeeping is great."

Bomah Hotel Limited ★★★

"We ate there a few times. The food was alright but the service is hideously slow with servers that never seem to understand what is being asked of them. Constantly forget to bring what you order and get orders wrong, do not apologise, and very slow and can't explain anything."

Acholi Inn ★★★

"Comfortable hotel, conveniently located in Gulu Avenue. Lovely pool and gardens. Great cafe bar and restaurant. Breakfast was average, nothing special but most people were on the go to business meetings and conferences, so it was perfectly adequate. Staff were helpful. Our room was on the ground floor in the older part of the hotel room 517. Mosquito nets, aircon, tea/coffee/kettle but no frills. Comfy bed. Big shower with much needed hot water after a busy day. Peaceful for such a busy hotel."

Hope's Apartments ★★★

"The room hygiene is pretty good since it just opened. There is no hot water in the room, the cold water is too cold, there is no bath mirror, no slippers, no clothes hooks, and no chairs. The price is too high for the location in the same area and does not match the accommodation experience at all."

Kareber Deluxe - Gulu ★★★

African Roots Gulu ★★★

"Fantastic place. I enjoyed a night here after a week of roughing it in Karamoja. It felt very luxurious and pampering and everything was just great. And all for a very reasonable price too. I would love to come back again."
