Gwangju Hotel Ocean Reviews

My first time to Gwangju, but I would say this is a pleasant hotel, exceeded my expectation. Firstly the room is huge!! I love the space in the room! You can open more than 3 luggage fully on the floor. I actually like the concept of having the basin inside the room, easy to do make up and boil hot water. The shower room is huge too! Not sure why, but I don't hate it! I like the separate shower and toilet concept! Location wise is good! Walking distance to the train station and bus stop. There's convenience stores nearby. There's 2 lifts available. The staff at the front counter are friendly and nice, even though they don't speak English. The cleanliness is not really up to standard. There's strands of hair everywhere, and it was not cleaned even after the housekeeping. But, I can't complain, it's not a 5 stars hotel. I expected it. There's towels, hair dryer, mini fridge, 2 hangers (why only 2 though?), shower gel, shampoo and hair rinse, soap bar, 2 green tea bags, and 2 instant black coffee sachets. Cable is provided as well, near the bedside table. And yes there is air-conditioning, not sure why Trip stated no air conditioning (got me worried). Overall, I will stay here again! I had a pleasant stay here and it was comfortable! Thank you :)

The breakfast is really delicious. The room is spacious and there are lots of places to eat nearby. The location and facilities are perfect. It is a bit inconvenient when the parking lot is full, so it is better to go in early.

Good location. Near Sangmu Station. Possible to go to Gwangju Songjeong Station by subway.

The location was good, there were many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The breakfast was good, and the room was nice. However, the smell of cigarettes from the lower floor came straight into the bathroom.

The location is moderately okay and the facilities are so-so. It is a bit outdated because it was built a long time ago, so you have to take that into account. The breakfast is still okay for the price.

It is located in the business district, the facilities are comfortable, the heating is good, the bed is big, so I was able to rest comfortably, and there is a space for eating on the first floor, so it was convenient.

This is a hotel I always use when I'm on business trips... It's good value for money... The breakfast is ordinary, but it's home-cooked and edible.

Wow, it was so so good. It was easy to access and there were many amenities nearby, so it was super convenient. I'd like to use it again next time I go.

The room is really very spacious. The bed is also big, and while they don't give out disposable items in Seoul, they give out new ones here every day. It's a shame that they only give you one card key, but if you ask them separately, they'll give you another one.
