Moorea Island Beach Hotel

The hotel is clean. Air conditioning works well enough. There is a small fridge in the room. Not a fan of the communal kitchen concept. The grounds are very poorly lit at night and one person in our party had a bad fall. Housekeeping comes at about 8:30, much too early. I saw no one at reception after about 4 pm. No idea what would happen if a guest needed assistance. Yes, you can rent a car and yes, there are a few restaurants within walking distance. No pool. What I paid really doesn't match what I received, as beautiful as the country is.

We had an incredible stay here with our 1 year old son. It’s in the most stunning location, snorkelling from the beach in front of the hotel is amazing! We saw rays and sharks round our feet! The hotel also has free kayaks, which you can take 10 minutes round the shore to see turtles! The hotel has everything we needed to make travel easy with a baby! Including a delicious breakfast. The staff we all so welcoming and could not do more for us! We hired a car for the day and managed to get out to all the sights easily from the hotel, it really is in the perfect spot! We really could not recommend this place more and would love to come back!

A great location with absolutely stunning views! Staff were kind and friendly, even giving us bug spray when it was really needed! The breakfast was good, free bikes and kayaks to use if wanted, and the staff even did a dancing performance our last night there which was cool to experience!

Wonderful welcome from Huinara and her team. Great location for tranquility and relaxation. The settling is beautiful, the reef steps from the shore and the sunsets sublime. We had an exceptional 4 nights in this idyllic small resort.

Warm helpful staff. Fully equipped little cabins with front porches with chairs looking out to lagoon. Excellent snorkeling in 3 to 5 ft of water right in front. Breakfast included is spectacular. Spacious open air dining and living room. Car rental, lagoon trips, free use of bikes and kayaks. Walk to O2Coco resto.

My friend and I had the best stay at MIBH in December 2025. In retrospect, we wish we would have stayed longer. The beach and water were sublime and just Stros from our lodging. They had kayaks and bicycles for free use. There were multiple great eateries within walking distance. The accommodations were well appointed and the AC worked great. We arrived early and were able to access our room before the official check in time. Highly recommend for solo, couple, group, or family travel.

Moorea is a magical island, and the Moorea Island Beach was a truly lovely place to experience it. The hotel matches the island's charming, distinctive character, offering the perfect blend of a homey, laid-back ambience with a stylish, well-appointed hotel experience. We stayed in the two-bedroom villa, which was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, while also making frequent use of the hotel's convivial, relaxing communal spaces, not least the spectacular views from the patio/dining area, especially at sunset. Having such direct access to the beach was such a treat—perfect for a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, where you can enjoy the peacefulness of the surroundings while fish swim around your toes! Managers Claude and Virgilia were gracious, helpful, generous, and kind. All in, a terrific experience, one that I highly recommend and would definitely seek out again myself.

This was a phenomenal 50th bday experience...weather not great on Tahiti but on this side of Moorea island, after a ferry ride, the rainy season rain didnt ever quite reach us. The views from the lobby are what first get you- they have a whole quiet magazine-worthy, coral-laden, turquoise acqua lagoon, away from the busy excursion-laden channels to the right. The staff, especially the main host was very welcoming and friendly. The tropical bungalow had great set back views of the sea and was a good size- maybe a bit small for some, but it felt cute and adequate. Shower was hot and sofa bed a welcome addition as the mattress was too hard for me. The surrounding area has some good places to pearl shop, but we struggled with the eateries- as you know polynesia is super-expensive, but sometimes the food isnt that great. Lots of raw fish and supermarkets to buy more expensive groceries, but what to eat was a stress. The breakfast at the hotel was ok, but dont expect big portions or daily difference. The french feel was nice, but we struggled with the eggs and sameness of each day. If you want bigger and variety maybe this isnt the place for you, but the guest use of the kitchen is a nice addition as everyone was buying groceries to then store in personal fridges and eat-you can buy great sushi from someone who advertises in the hotel. If you want stunning views, pristine coral, a reef you can kayak to and an abundance of colourful fish, then this place is unspoilt and gorgeous- everyone seemed to understand the ethos of relaxation so quietness and solitude is big here. The free kayaks and bikes were so appreciated and we hired scooters nearby to see the look out and eco museum. They are a great way to see the rest of the island. The kayaks were always in use so get them early- you can kayak to nearby stunning beaches and on the first day we saw a flock of eagle rays, sea turtles and blacktip reef sharks- we were stunned by how much marine life there was so close by-the views by the way are astounding- we have travelled the world but in polynesia the views and terrain is unparalleled. Just incredible! One day a local even went out with some dead fish and we fed two rays in front of the hotel- we were speechless. We would definitely return here as the island is beautiful and less commercial than Bora Bora and others.

Absolutely amazing views! Quiet, peaceful, right on the beach. Felt like we were staying at a private beach house. Room had plenty of space, air conditioning worked well, beach towels for water activities. And a central living room and kitchen with spectacular sunset views and relaxing chairs to lounge. Highly recommend!!
