"Niu Beach Hotel in Moorea is fantastic! We loved the location - close to a beach and snorkeling. They have kayaks and paddle boards available for use. Each cottage has a foot wash for you to use on your patio. I loved having a kitchenette available and we had a cottage with the two bathrooms. It was incredibly comfortable and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I highly encourage you to book here!"

"My wife and me expected a nice and peaceful journey, but the welcome was horrible. After my wife pointed out the humidity level of the facilities, the manager started to litteraly fight with her, saying "don't come here, don't ask for this, you are not welcome if you start like this". So, 1st expect a 90% humidity level, without any fresh air or dehumidifier device, bathrooms in the bedroom with no ventilation (is this legal ?), a lot of moisture, 2cd expect a lot of mosquitos, and eventually expect the most despictable manager I have ever seen. No coffee or tea for our breakfeat (insane !), you cannot ask because people are elsewhere, very bad mood and energy everywhere. It seems the employees suffer a toxic management, the same people doing 3 or 4 jobs at the same time (barmaid = receptionist = cleaning lady = eveything else). The location was ok, very nice view in front of the lagoon, but how to fully enjoy it, I will never know. Avoid this location, this hostel is no more than a 2* + toxic management. Hope it helps."

"Place is really beautiful, breakfast is generous and tasty and staff is kind. Unfortunately, I'm more than sure that a few small items and coins disappeared from inside my luggage/from a shelf in the room while we were out for trips. Items were not precious, but still it somehow ruined our stay."

The front desk and service staff were warm and patient. After checking out, they helped us arrange a special waiting area. The proprietress was willing to pick up the car for us. The facilities in the room are old, the hair dryer is still bad, and there are a lot of bugs. The most terrible cockroaches crawled into our suitcases."

"Well, I don't usually give negative reviews, so I gave it 3 stars. The bungalows are quite large, clean, and well laid out. The pool is nice, and the grounds are well maintained. But be warned, it's in the middle of nowhere. There's no beach access on foot, just a small grocery store 800 meters away, and no food trucks nearby. So a car is ESSENTIAL, otherwise your stay will be ruined. I regret the location."

"The hotel is clean. Air conditioning works well enough. There is a small fridge in the room. Not a fan of the communal kitchen concept. The grounds are very poorly lit at night and one person in our party had a bad fall. Housekeeping comes at about 8:30, much too early. I saw no one at reception after about 4 pm. No idea what would happen if a guest needed assistance. Yes, you can rent a car and yes, there are a few restaurants within walking distance. No pool. What I paid really doesn't match what I received, as beautiful as the country is."

"The Moorea Beach Lodge is a wonderfully secluded, quiet spot perfect for relaxing, yet close enough to walk to lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Delicious and hearty daily breakfasts with yummy fresh pastries and coffee/tea/water and kitchen access are available throughout the day. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating and seem to genuinely care about their lodge and their guests. We stayed in the "honeymoon" bungalow and the room was a bit on the small side with limited storage for hanging wet items to dry, but otherwise this was a perfect stay. The beach was lovely with great snorkeling and sunsets right from our room! We also took advantage of the on-site car rental and they made it super easy to rent directly through them. I highly recommend the Lodge all around and would stay here again. I hope we can visit again soon!"

"The location is far from all the tourist places. So you need a car. The host did not help with car hire. She said she could not help because of her boss. The host was difficult to get in contact with. The best way was via e-mail. Hence answers take time! Although there was a small shop, we have up using it because we could not get hold of the owner. It was difficult to unlock the bikes. Again, it would have been great with help from the host. The kayaks were great. And the view from the bungalow. The bungalow was dark and felt "cheap" with eg. plastic in the ceiling. On the first floor it was extremely hot. There were no extra bags for rubbish, so quickly it started to smell. We were offered breakfast but it was extremely expensive, so be bought breakfast for ourselves instead."
