I recommend this hostel. It’s very nice. The staff has been very accommodating. The rooms are nice. This one also has a restaurant and a bar. Located in the facility. The location is in a good area. You can walk down to all of your museums, restaurants, shopping, etc. It is all within walking distance.

I called around 10:30 PM and was told I could come as long as I arrived before midnight. What I didn’t realize (and what wasn’t made clear on the phone) was that I needed to book online in advance. To be fair, I probably could’ve asked or reserved right away, so I take some responsibility there. When I arrived, I was told for the first time that after 10 PM they don’t accept new guests unless they have an online reservation beforehand. This was confusing since there were still available beds. Although I explained the situation politely the response felt distant and unaccommodating. I understand rules are rules and miscommunications between two parties can always occur, but a warmer tone and clearer instructions over the phone would have made all the difference. I wish the staff all the best and hope future guests have a smoother experience.

Student hostel The hotel provides the bare minimum: a bed for the night. Just be prepared to make your own bed, bring your own towel and sleep in a bunk bed.

Stayed as a group of 30. A lovely welcome and simple check in. Rooms all recently upgraded and well though out. Socket , light and locker for each bed. Bed clean and comfortable. Bunk beds a bit tricky for the older members of the party but single beds available if booked in advance. Food served in the dining area was spot on- hot, varied, plentiful and tasty - not one complaint from a large group is unheard of. Vegetarian and coeliac disease catered for without fuss. Bar had some good beers on tap. Location is great for station, trams and a 5min walk to the centre. Storage was available when we checked out so allowed a visit to the beach on our last day. Despite lots of groups staying here there wasn't a lot of noise. Main noise was from trams in front of building if window left open. Have recommended the hostel to other touring parties already.

Very close to downtown, the railway station is just minutes by foot. Easy access to everything! With a group of teens, we stayed 2 nights. Friendly & helpful staff. Laundry service is tricky if you have quite a few people, but is available - there are no machines onsite - it is done by the overnight staff. Pack lunches & dinner are also available. Don't go on burger night - the veggie burger is ok, but .........

Rooms were generally clean and tidy, although the lack of ventilation means that it can get hot, especially in the summer. Breakfast was alright but could do with more variety. Most of the staff are really pleasant and do their best for customers, even when problems come up; that said, I came across two staff members who were rude, disinterested and nasty- one staff member was aggressive and confrontational when asking me about me entering the hostel at night with my keycard. Another was particularly disinterested when it came to serving customers, treating them as burdensome. All in all an alright stay. Though I'd recommend for only a few days at most.
