Holiday Inn Express properties in Haikou

This was my first time driving in Hainan, and this was the first hotel I stayed at after taking the ferry from Xuwen Port. It's only a few minutes' drive from Xiuying Port. The hotel occupies its own entire building and has a large, spacious ground-level parking lot, making parking very convenient (as shown in the video). Besides its proximity to the port, the public areas are generally well-equipped and nicely decorated, giving off a high-end and sophisticated vibe. They even have a laundry room. The room isn't particularly large, but the decor is very new, and the materials used are quite refined. The entire room is equipped with a smart control system, there are power outlets everywhere, and even wireless charging on the bedside table.

We stayed in a duplex room as a family of three. I'm not sure why the downstairs bathroom had no vanity counter at all. There was nowhere to put our change of clothes when showering, and no place to hang the towels. Even worse, the breakfast restaurant was incredibly tiny! During our two-day stay, we witnessed arguments over tables or chairs at breakfast both days, and the staff did absolutely nothing to help or mediate! Four complete strangers were crammed around a small single table, and I ended up with just a corner. It was a really uncomfortable breakfast experience! My room happened to be directly above the restaurant, and from 7 AM onwards, there was constant noise from tables and chairs being dragged around. The air quality in the room was also very poor.

First off, the location is super convenient, really close to the harbor. The front desk service was excellent; the lady was very warm and patiently explained everything. Secondly, the sea view room was dark when I arrived at night, but in the morning, it was a pleasant surprise – the sea view is gorgeous! Beautiful blue water and white clouds, just stunning. The room was spacious enough, and parking was very easy. Highly recommend!
