Kew Green Hotel Haikou International Duty Free City（Xinhai Harbour）

Here's a breakdown of my extremely disappointing stay: First, we booked two rooms, one of which was a 'Comfort King Room.' Upon entering, we were greeted by a large clump of hair on the floor, along with several other strands. It was impossible to tell if the room had even been cleaned. Second, before booking, we called the hotel to inquire about the room's amenities. However, no one mentioned that this room had a connecting door (which I strongly dislike). Third, there was no phone in the room (or it was hidden somewhere I couldn't find). Due to traffic on the highway and at the port, we didn't settle into the hotel until almost 2 AM, so we were too exhausted to complain or address the issues. Fourth, the distance between the table and the power outlets was incredibly inconvenient. We had to move the table to use the power strip, which was quite baffling. Fifth, the toilet area had no exhaust fan, although the shower did. However, the shower and toilet areas were separated by a glass partition, and the toilet faced the main bed with a non-fully enclosed glass door. Are we supposed to share odors? Sixth, there was nowhere in the bathroom to hang towels or clothes. Does the hotel expect guests to enter and exit the shower completely naked? Seventh, and most unbearable, there was no rainfall showerhead in the bathroom! No rainfall showerhead! No rainfall showerhead! It's almost 2026, and after staying in countless hotels and guesthouses, this is truly the first time I've encountered a bathroom without one! I never imagined this was something I'd need to confirm. After all, this isn't a motel, is it? Eighth, the hotel's description page stated that weekend breakfast was until 10:30 AM. However, upon arrival, we were told that this was incorrect and breakfast only served until 10 AM. The above are my major grievances. There were a few other minor dissatisfactions, but I'll omit them from this review as they're purely personal opinions and I want to be fair. As a warning to other potential guests: if you have certain basic requirements for a hotel, such as whether it's an independent large hotel, the floor and area of your room, or the specific amenities of the room type, then you absolutely must ask the hotel staff about every single detail in advance. If they are unclear or provide poor service, you should seriously reconsider. We hastily booked this hotel because we only needed it for an overnight stay before leaving the next morning, and it left us with a very bad impression.

This is my third time staying at this hotel. It's conveniently located near the New Seaport, making arrivals and departures very easy. The facilities are relatively new, clean, and well-maintained. The room layout is quite reasonable, and the breakfast has improved since my last visit.

As a hotel under a state-owned enterprise, the management is surprisingly lax and unprofessional. First, the check-in process with the concierge and front desk felt very unprofessional and casual. The room hygiene was quite poor, and I hope it can be improved. The facilities are all new and the space is quite large, but the cleanliness is truly concerning. There was a tall gentleman with a Northeast accent, I'm not sure what his role was, but his service was excellent. I hope other staff members can perform similarly. A suggestion: I hope the hotel can stock more consumables, like masks. Also, could the hotel consider providing some feminine hygiene products for ladies, either for sale or free? I think either would be fine, because given the location, delivery services don't take orders at night, which can be very awkward for women during special circumstances. I called the front desk and was told they had none. And the most, most unacceptable thing is, as a listed four-star hotel, how can you put torn bed sheets on the bed? I hope the hotel management can reflect on this issue.

Located on the second floor of the building, the parking entrance was hard to find, and the hotel entrance itself was also small and difficult to spot. The staff seemed very busy and their service attitude was just okay. The soundproofing in the hotel was incredibly poor, and the sheets and duvet covers were worn out. All in all, it's just a budget hotel, very mediocre, and not good value for money.

The facilities are outdated, and the front desk staff was unwelcoming and perfunctory when I had issues. I stayed here last year after taking the ferry and had a good experience, so I decided to book again this year. This time, however, the cleanliness was truly awful. There were black stains and hair on the floor, hair in the toilet, and the bathroom tiles felt sticky underfoot. The bathroom mirror was covered in water spots and a layer of dust – it was very dirty. The hygiene standards definitely don't justify the price.

The front desk staff, particularly Xiao L, provided excellent service; she was patient and thorough, making the check-in process quick and thoughtful 👏. The room facilities were complete, and the attention to detail was impressive. The bedding was soft, which significantly improved my sleep quality 💤. The location is convenient with great amenities nearby, making it my top choice for business trips 👍. I will definitely choose to stay here again! 🌟🌟
