Haikou Mingguang Shengyi Hotel

Came back to my room at midnight after a long day, only to find it hadn't been cleaned. Called the front desk, and they told me they'd clean it tomorrow morning. Seriously?

Mingguang Shengyi Hotel is my go-to choice every time I visit Haikou. Their 24-hour check-in system is incredibly convenient for guests. It's also super easy to get around with Chenxi High-Speed Rail Station and Longhu Tianjie nearby.

Traveling with zero stress, thanks to their butler-style service, which is simply the best! ▪️ **Scheduled Transfers:** The hotel offers scheduled shuttle services to the airport/train station (at 08:30, 10:20, 12:50, 15:00). Just book in advance, and you can get there directly without waiting for a ride-hailing car under the scorching sun. ▪️ **Excellent Location:** Right next to Longhu Tianjie shopping mall! Dining and shopping are just a stone's throw away. It's only 601 meters from Chengxi Station, 2 kilometers from Haikou East Station, and 14.5 kilometers from Meilan Airport. The location is absolutely perfect. 👔 **A Blessing for the Lazy: Butler Laundry Service** Worried about running out of clean clothes while traveling? No need to worry here! Just dial the front desk from your room or fill out the laundry slip, and a staff member will come to collect your clothes. You don't have to lift a finger, and they'll return them freshly washed and ironed to your room! This service truly feels five-star. 👌 🍹 **All-in-One Dining, Drinking & Entertainment** ▪️ **Complimentary Minibar:** The mini-fridge in the room is stocked with drinks you can enjoy freely (it's included in your benefits!). ▪️ **Recreational Facilities:** There's also an outdoor swimming pool and a gym on the top floor, perfect for snapping some great photos or getting a workout in. ▪️ **Breakfast & Coffee:** The breakfast spread is very diverse, with both Chinese and Western options. The bed is quite large, perfect for families. The price is reasonable, it's quiet, the location is great for both transportation and shopping, and they even offered a complimentary coffee package – the pros are definitely obvious. However, as a family suite, there are a few things that could be improved: (1) Several mirrors face the bed, which made me feel uncomfortable sleeping at night. These include the mirror on the cabinet by the entrance and the full-length mirror behind the suite door (because of this, I didn't dare close the suite door at night, otherwise, it would be a full-length mirror facing us). (2) The hairdryer was too old; I didn't dare use it. It would also be great if they provided a step stool for children.

The room was average, but the location is excellent, right next to Longhu Tianjie, offering a great variety of dining and entertainment options. The breakfast, however, was just okay; they should diversify the food choices, perhaps adding things like fried dough sticks and tofu pudding.

This is my third stay at Haikou Mingguang ShengYi Hotel. The location is excellent, very close to Haikou West Station, making transportation convenient. There's a large commercial area nearby, which is lively at night. The hotel environment is great, the rooms are very clean, and the service is also good. Thumbs up!

The room had no strange odors and was very comfortable to stay in. The cleaning lady did a fantastic job, and she was very nice. The front desk staff were all very polite as well. I really love this hotel! Even though we're locals, we enjoy staying here. It used to be a very popular dim sum hotel in Haikou, and now I think their buffet restaurant is excellent too, with good quality food. Please keep up the great work! 👍

The hotel carpets are a bit old. However, the room layout and decor are reliable. I checked into a room with a nice view outside the window, where I could see the light rail moving overhead. It was quiet, and I could sleep soundly. The room was generally clean and tidy (apart from the carpets). There was no smoke smell inside, which I was super happy about! The lady at the front desk provided excellent service. Overall: Satisfied. I'd be willing to stay again.
