Haiyang Jianguo Hotel

Our go-to choice every time we visit Haiyang. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are warm and friendly. A special thank you to Mr. Liang Guodong, who was incredibly thoughtful and even upgraded us to a sea-view room. We took the kids swimming, enjoyed the sea views, caught crabs, and dug for clams!

The hotel is conveniently located with a large and easy-to-use car park. The rooms are clean, although the bedding was just average. The service was excellent, and the restaurant served delicious food. The rooms are quite soundproof, so it was very quiet at night.

The hotel's location is excellent, right on the beachfront. The front desk staff, especially Xiao Chen, was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. They even upgraded our room! The room was clean and tidy, making for a great experience. Listening to the ocean from the balcony was very therapeutic.

The check-in staff, Huang Liwei, was incredibly enthusiastic. After we checked in, she helped us with our luggage, told us about nearby attractions, and even provided sand-digging tools when she found out we were going seashell hunting. She also upgraded our room, and we were very happy with the room she arranged for us.

Great hotel location! I stayed in a sea-view room, and I could see the ocean right from my balcony. The front desk staff, Lina, was fantastic. She contacted me by phone beforehand and was very proactive in helping with my check-in requests. The room was also very clean.

Extremely clean and hygienic, and more importantly, the customer service staff, Li Na, was incredibly warm and attentive. ❤️

1. As soon as I entered the room and went to wash up, I found a dead cockroach on the floor near the sink. Do the cleaning staff not check these things? 2. I booked a sea view room and was put on the sixth floor, but I don't think the sixth floor can even be called a sea view room. There's an overhang blocking the view, and I couldn't even see the beach. The view was terrible. The balcony was right above the overhang; it would have been better if there wasn't one at all. How can they charge over 500 yuan in this small city for this? 3. The bedside lamp was broken, flickering on and off. I wonder how long it's been broken. 4. At the breakfast buffet, there was a fly constantly on the stacks of bowls next to the eggs. I told a staff member about it on the first day, and she just walked away. I thought she was going to get something to deal with it, but she never came back. Did she just pretend not to hear me? On the second day, there was still a fly in the same spot. I told another staff member, and this one did go back and get a fly swatter, but she just walked around the table a few times and clearly had no intention of actually swatting the fly. I understand that there are more flies by the sea, and I understand that swatting flies might look bad, but can the staff just completely ignore it? Don't they know there are a lot of flies and can't they get an electric fly swatter? Plus, after I told the staff, they just smirked and didn't even apologize. Is that how they're trained? Anyway, I won't be coming back to this hotel. They claim to be the best and most expensive in Haiyang, but the hygiene and service just don't measure up.

This was the best hotel experience we had during our trip to Qingdao. Although the hotel is a bit old and the beach isn't great, the staff were incredibly welcoming, especially Nana at the front desk. She was so helpful and even upgraded us to a sea-view room, where we could see the ocean right from our window. The room itself was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning was nice and cool, which was a lifesaver during our five incredibly hot days in Qingdao. Nana even gave a little gift to my child when we checked out. 🥰

The hotel is clean and hygienic, and from what I researched before coming, it should be the best in Haiyang. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the front desk upgraded us to a sea-view room. The breakfast was rich and tasted good too.
