This hotel is beyond my imagination. OMG ! The place was so amazing I chose Chalet with my family member 8 persons. They really in love with the place and all speak the same that we will definitely come back again ! The owner has a service to bring you to the supermarket at 4 pm everyday. That's awesome we can do cooking and enjoy precious meals with our family. There are not many houses here so it is the best option for anyone who looking for the cozy places and can also enjoy the wonderful snowy view. Thank you Ms. Hana to take care of us along the stay ! :)))

Hakuba Canadian Lodge was perfect! The cabins we stayed in were clean and the amenities were great. It was also very easy to organise the free shuttle thanks to the help from the staff there. Would recommend staying here.

Good value accommodation, clean, well-equipped and fully functional. Check-in at reception was quick. Received a code to access the room. Accommodation options include apartments and houses. There's a Line account to contact staff, but we didn't add it, thinking we'd contact them if there were any problems. Check-out was simple; just drop the card and details into the mailbox. We stayed in an apartment; there's no elevator. There's parking available. The room has a kitchen where you can cook, a dining table, and a stove that works (some burners are functional). There's also a stove that uses butane gas canisters, but you need to bring your own gas (didn't try it). The washing machine works for both washing and drying. There's a small clothes rack. There are two air conditioners, one for the living area and one for the bedroom. The bedroom has four single beds, spacious enough to comfortably open large suitcases at once. There's plenty of room to walk around; it was probably the largest room on the trip. The view isn't anything spectacular, just trees and houses; quiet and peaceful, but you can hear noise from the upstairs rooms. Overall, good value for money.

Moving from Matsumoto to Hakuba, I used my IC card when entering JR Oito Line station, but it couldn't be used when exiting Hakuba station. Not speaking English or Japanese, I was fortunate that the owner of the Hakuba Canadian Lodge where I was staying picked me up and helped me communicate with the JR station staff using translation software (it turned out I had to pay cash first and then have my card reset). The Hakuba Canadian Lodge is a hot spring inn surrounded by ski resorts, with several high-altitude ski areas within 1 to 5 miles. It's about a 1-kilometer walk from the famous Happo-one Ski Resort station (the owner usually provides a free shuttle). The one-bedroom apartment-style room has a fully equipped kitchen, the room is clean, and the staff is friendly. The inn's service is exceptionally attentive; the owner is always willing to help whenever possible (free shuttle service from JR Hakuba station, advance booking required). We arrived on October 25th, and the free shuttle bus from Happo-one Ropeway Station had already stopped operating, but the inn owner still kindly provided free transportation, making guests feel right at home. The inn's hot spring is located 250 meters away at "Hakuba Matsunori Hotel" (a discount coupon of ¥1000 per person is available). The spring water, named after the flowing water from the Shōbei spring, is rich in salt compounds, leaving the skin feeling incredibly smooth after soaking. Hakuba Matsunori Hotel and Hakuba Canadian Lodge are owned by the same person. Their restaurant offers a generous buffet breakfast and dinner. If needed, the owner can contact you in advance to make a reservation. Breakfast is approximately ¥2000 per person (a discount of ¥200 per person is available); dinner is ¥5000 per person (a discount of ¥500 per person is available). During my 5-night stay, I received a lot of help from the owner, making it a truly unforgettable experience. While waiting for a sunny day at Happo-one Happo Pond, I fell in love with the beautiful Hakuba village! If I have the chance to return, I will definitely choose "Canadian Lodge" again!

It was a very pleasant stay and I would like to use it again. However, for some reason, a lot of ants came into the room. I didn't know where they were coming from, and I was surprised to find out why there were so many energetic ants in Hakuba, even though we rarely see ants in Tokyo during the winter. I also thought it would be convenient to have a rice scoop for the rice cooker, a dish towel, or kitchen paper. Honestly, it would have been more comfortable if there was a sofa or something like that.
