The Imperial Crown Hotel

A weekend away celebrating my friends birthday. We hadn't visited Halifax before and wanted to see the Piece Hall & Duke of Wellington museum. We also visited the Minster and went to a show at the Victoria theatre. Hotel is 5 mins from the station and within walking distance of all we wanted to see. A basic base, clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water and extra tea bags supplied when asked. Restaurants in the town served good food at very reasonable prices. Tour guides & staff everywhere were very friendly and helful. Would definitely recommend.

Shower water isn't hot enough

Very near the rail station. Nice morning staff. She was multitasking. Dated, cold room but clean. Water pressure super. Relaxing. Complementary coffee, tea,and cookies Night staff unhelpful with my simple taxi issue. I could have done a bank transfer right away since I am a hotel guest. Morning lady staff allowed me to leave my stuff so I could walk around after check out.

Great location for Eureka and right opposite the railway station. Very friendly staff and a few requests were made without any fuss. Great choice for breakfast very good value. Definitely stay there again.

The rooms need updating badly. Tiles falling of the wall in the bathroom etc. The wardrobe was filthy and full of dust. Furniture needs updating too The beds are so comfy though. Staff always very helpful. Could do with someone to cart the bags upstairs as there are no lifts in the property. Helen

£193 (Room only) for 1 night in a shabby room. Had to park the car away from the hotel at the cost of £15 despite an email telling me to park in their car park for £5. Turns out that car park no longer exists. DISSAPOINTED.

Great location. Girl on reception really lovely. Room bit out dated and walls paper thin. Would use again for events at piece hall. As its minutes away

Awful hotel! I paid £189 for one night as it was convenient for the piece hall. Absolute rip off! Could hear the bed springs as soon as I sat on bed. Bathroom very dated. No hairdryer so couldn't wash my hair. No lift, had to walk up several flights of stairs! The hotel should be renovated ASAP!

Clean single room for an overnight stay, the hotel is literally opposite the railway station and Piece Hall and town centre are a short walk away. Staff friendly and helpful. Some of the fixtures and fittings could do with some tic perhaps, but the rates are very reasonable and the bed was comfortable. Some rooms face a busy road so some traffic noise, but not too bad. Would stay again.
