Hotel Hamburg Stadtzentrum

The room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the city, which was great! The room was clean, tidy, safe, and comfortable.

The hotel's name has changed to Novum Hotel, and there's no clear sign outside, so I almost didn't dare to go in. Although the location is close to the central station, the entire street is very dirty and messy. The room itself is very dim, with only one small ceiling light and a tiny bedside lamp.

Close to the station, but the surrounding streets were dirty and sketchy. The hotel name displayed at the ground floor entrance didn't match, which was confusing. The reception isn't on the ground floor; you have to press a small button by the door to get in, then figure out how to get upstairs to check-in. After getting past the ground floor entrance, you have to carry your luggage up several steps before you even reach the elevator. Our room was on the fifth floor, but the elevator only goes to the fourth, so we had to lug our bags up to the fifth ourselves. The water pressure in the toilet was too low; it never flushed properly! A very poor stay experience overall!

1 Star ⭐ My experience at the Hamburg was truly awful, and I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel. The moment I walked in, there was a very unpleasant odor, and it was even worse in the room – a disturbing and almost unbearable stench. The room was also incredibly hot and poorly ventilated, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable. The cleanliness was subpar, and the service was very poor and unacceptable. Honestly, I will never repeat this experience and I will definitely never book this hotel again.

Central location, super value for money. Breakfast was better than expected.
