Le Sultan

We booked to return again before the holiday had even ended! The staff are fantastic and key to the success of Le Sultan. It’s a bit rough around the edges in places but generally a lovely hotel. We had an odd start as when we arrived in our room (269) there was a painter refreshing it and the main bed was not made up. We assumed it was a mistake and so expected to move but instead they chased out the painter and said room service would do the main bed in 5 minutes. To be fair, they did. We debated asking for a move but we were tired and figured that once we were back from the pool the paint would have dried. Which it had. It wasn’t toxic and so we just chose to remain. The room was otherwise beautiful. Bathroom shower leaked because the screen was too far forward from the edge of the shower but we found a solution in a rolled up towel. Good powerful shower and no complaint. My only real complaint about the room was the bed creaked terribly when you moved at all. Woke us up a few of times. But again, not a deal breaker. As a family room it was great. Kids loved it. Comfy beds and loads of space. The hotel in general is very clean and lovely to look at. Outdoor lounging is gorgeous at night. The entertainment team work really hard - all the staff do - and some of the entertainment is really excellent. The dancers are wonderful and the New Year Gala dinner was a spectacle. Food - if you come here and say you can’t find food to eat then the issue is you!! The food is excellent - fresh, varied and really tasty. We miss it already! Mix of Tunisian, European, Asian and Italian. Fresh salads, bread and pasta at all lunches and dinners so no problem feeding the kids. The desserts are sweet and fresh and the fruit is gorgeous, with a selection of gelato that the kids loved helping themselves to. The staff here work very very hard and deserve to be tipped. It is the culture here to do so and we tipped between 5 and 10 dinar frequently. (Google Tunisian minimum wage for a uk comparison and you will not begrudge rewarding their work!!!) If I had one recommendation that would make a marked difference it is that the waiters should carry a cloth with them and wipe down the tables more often. Especially around the pool edge. They collect and deliver glasses but there is no wipe down that we could see and the tables were often dirty. This would make a real difference. We will be returning in 27th December 2024 and already can’t wait!

Beautiful hotel. Lots of children and lots to do for them. If you want a quiet resort it's loud with lots and lots of children. Food service is good. The seaview room was excellent and cleaned very often. Plenty of sunbeds to choose from and attentive staff. I had a bit of a tummy bug, though I think it was due to eating the salad. Came home and still not quite right

The hotel staff were friendly . The food was good. Nice clean hotel The drinks menu could have been better. The pool guys were brilliant( little tip and they look after you. The reception staff spoke good English . Air con not very good in the room. No mini bar in room which was advertised.

Just came back from holiday in this fantastic hotel. Everything in this hotel is amazing; starting from the rooms with bathrooms- modern and beautiful, the sea view is stunning, delicious food, all stuff are great: always smiling, welcoming, friendly, happy to help. Especially I would like to mention animation team: wonderful Girls (Amal, Nina, Sue) who always give 100% in everything they do and great guys; Chiheb and Haykel. They all are a massive credit to the hotel! They make every guest ( adult or a kid) feel special!!! I felt like I was in a mini paradise, happy to forget the world outside and embrace every second in this amazing place. Didn't want to leave! The best holiday ever! This is one of the best hotels I've been so far and the best stuff. Customer service is outstanding on every level. Thank you for an amazing time. Lovely hotel very clean great pool area and small beach area. Rooms are on the small side it just means you have to be tidier lol,but cleaned to a high standard every day. We didn’t leave the hotel grounds as we were there to chill for a week and do nothing. We had a complimentary lunch at the Mediterranean restaurant which was lovely. All the staff were happy to help in any way and very friendly. The food in the buffet restaurant was unfortunately a bit of a let down after reading previous reviews. We didn’t starve most of the time we found something to eat, it’s just a shame that this lets the hotel down when it has so many great points.

Hotel Le Sultan in Tunisia turned out to be an excellent choice for our all-inclusive vacation. Guided by the great reviews I read before our trip, we decided on this hotel and were not disappointed. The rooms were not very large but very comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, always smiling, and willing to help. The food was very good, with a menu that changed daily. In addition to a wide selection of meats, we had the opportunity to try seafood and fresh fish every day. Local delicacies were also available – every day, Tunisian dishes were served for those eager to experience new flavors. The only downside was the breakfast, which could have been more varied. At the bar, drinks were served with original liquors as part of the all-inclusive package, which was a pleasant surprise. The animation team was fantastic – always smiling, they excellently orhganized time with various games and activities, managing to integrate and entertain guests. The hotel offers a lot within the all-inclusive package – numerous games, water sports, and many other attractions. Compared to other hotels, Le Sultan's offer is truly rich. The only significant downside was the inappropriate behaviour of a few staff members towards my teenage daughter, who asked her for her social media profiles. I believe that such things should not happen and I hope the hotel addresses this issue. In summary, Hotel Le Sultan is a place we definitely recommend due to its comfort, excellent service, tasty food, and rich entertainment offer. However, the hotel should pay attention to the behaviour of some staff members towards young girls.
