My husband left his Apple puck phone charger and USB-C port on the night stand and when he returned that night they were gone and replaced with an anchor brand charger! When talking to the manager he said he talked to Celine and she denied taking it and basically told us we must have left it in one of our bags! Do you really think we would drive back when the manager was to be in and go through all this just to make it up? Manager was very rude wasn’t willing to make it right! I would really think twice before staying here if I were you!"

"We were very disappointed. Room #113 heater was very loud, reminded us of a 747 plane ALL NIGHT. WITH BEARING GOING OUT with a ringing sound. I fell asleep from exhaustion. Believe me, we were already tired from traveling from Houston, Texas. When we reported the outstanding loud room, they said they were aware of the issue. It was very common issue. This being said, we would have chosen another hotel with an upgraded room and better heater electric. Another thing, the breakfast was cold (eggs) and pancake machine not working. With limited items in the healthy list. What a disappointment!! From now forward, we will be staying in Ames at the Gateway Hotel."

"I had called a week earlier to request 1st floor since I am claustrophobic & can’t do elevators & when I checked in they gave me a 2nd floor room but when asked they switched me to a 1st floor room. The 1st room the TV did not work but the 2nd room the TV worked but the garbage can was half full if garbage & the lights on each side of the bathroom mirror just flickered & would not come on. The thermostat is very confusing & hard to figure out & we had the front desk guy come to room but it didn’t help so they need to figure that out or put instructions next to thermostat to explain how to use. It shouldn’t be as difficult as it was. We couldn’t figure out if the cool or heat was on. The room was chilly & we couldn’t get it warmed up. The next morning I went out to breakfast & came back to my room to get my things at 10:30 & was locked out so I had to go to front desk & waited 6 minutes for someone so they could fix my key to get back in room to get my things & check out. The hotel is beautiful & very clean. I am pretty sure I won’t go back to this hotel for awhile."
