Hangzhou Xinqiao Hotel

I ended up extending my stay for two more days due to a typhoon, so I stayed at this hotel for a total of six days. On the last day, I had booked a standard room below the 6th floor, but they upgraded me to a higher-floor room with a partial West Lake view and a king bed, which was very quiet, because of renovations. The front desk service was excellent; they were very considerate of guests and always greeted me with a smile. The location is great, and the breakfast buffet is plentiful. Every time I went to the second floor, the front desk ladies would greet me from afar. Next door is the in77 mall, which is a one-stop shop for dining and shopping. There are also famous restaurants like Hangzhou Restaurant and Zhi Wei Guan right by West Lake. All in all, I was very satisfied with this stay! Facilities: A bit old, as the hotel has been around for a while. Hygiene: The cleaning staff were enthusiastic, but I hope for better attention to detail! Environment: Very good. Service: Satisfied.

1. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to In77. 2. You can park in front of the hotel, but spaces are very limited. We arrived at noon, and the front lot was full. We then went to the multi-story parking garage behind the hotel, but our car was too long to fit. In the end, a security guard directed us to park nearby. It was a bit worrying as a typhoon hit in the middle of the night with heavy winds and rain. 3. The hotel is 40 years old, and all the facilities still have an old-fashioned style. I'd suggest a renovation; the carpet looked quite dirty. The room also had old wooden furniture. 4. Since I was traveling with my high school-aged child, I specifically booked a two-bedroom executive suite. Having two separate bathrooms was great. However, the toilet rooms were very small. The sofa looked old, and the curtains were dirty. The executive suite itself was very spacious. 5. Breakfast is on the second floor. By 8 AM, it was already bustling with people. There wasn't a huge variety, but there was enough to eat. They made ci fan tuan (sticky rice rolls) fresh on the spot, which was a nice touch. 6. Overall, the service was great. The parking security guards, the service staff we encountered, and even the cleaning aunties in the hallway almost all proactively greeted us warmly and asked if we needed help. The training is clearly good 👍

This is a high-end, classic hotel. Opening the window, you're greeted with the beautiful West Lake view. The front desk lady (her surname is Xu, I asked) was incredibly warm and attentive. Check-in was fast, and she patiently guided me through the internet 📶 application. The service quality is on par with some five-star hotels I've stayed in before. Next time I'm in Hangzhou, I'll choose Xinquiao again, especially because their breakfast buffet is simply unforgettable!

The location of Shimbashi Hotel is incredibly convenient, and you can see West Lake right from the room. I requested a high floor, and they specially gave me the highest available floor for my room type, plus an upgrade! There's also a West Lake viewing platform on the upper floor, which offers a complete panoramic view of the lake. I'm here mainly for the 'Rice Noodle Festival' and to visit the 'Daomu Biji' (Tomb Raider's Notes) attractions in Hangzhou, and the hotel is very close to Intime Department Store and Wushanju. The auntie on the 9th floor was particularly enthusiastic; she brought a garment steamer to my room when I needed to iron clothes and even prioritized cleaning my room to reduce my waiting time. The only downside was that packages delivered to the hotel were placed on a shelf in the stairwell, and you had to find them yourself. There was no one managing them, and it was quite inconvenient to collect several packages while also handling my luggage.

First off, the location is fantastic, just a 7-8 minute walk from Longxiang Bridge subway station. It's only a 5-6 minute stroll to West Lake, and Intime Department Store is right across the street. Secondly, the service is excellent; they're always ready to help. Thirdly, there's a large observation deck with panoramic views of West Lake. Fourthly, the breakfast is varied and plentiful. Overall, it offers great value for money.

I had a wonderful stay here! The front desk service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The room was also very clean and tidy. The front desk staff were attentive and helpful. And the sunset from the terrace was absolutely beautiful – it was so relaxing to stroll around in the evening (◡‿◡✿)🌙.

The sunset from the tenth-floor terrace is beautiful. The hotel's location is excellent. Additionally, the bedding is comfortable, and the room is clean with no strange odors. The front desk staff were very friendly and helped us with a late check-out. I'm very satisfied with this stay and would recommend it to everyone. Nearby, there's also the China Academy of Art, which my child loved, and the beautiful West Lake scenery, both definitely worth a visit!

The front desk service was excellent, making for a fantastic experience. Although some of the hotel's facilities and equipment are a bit old, the amenities are very comprehensive. It offers incredible value for money, and booking in advance might even get you a better price. Plus, the room was spotlessly clean!

This is an older 4-star hotel, but the service is absolutely fantastic in every way. They even upgraded my room, which was a thoughtful touch. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to West Lake, and the Intime shopping area is right downstairs. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.
