Lakeview Hotel Hangzhou

The room was clean and just a five-minute walk from West Lake. The breakfast was plentiful; I highly recommend the beef vermicelli soup, it was exceptionally delicious. The view of West Lake from the rooftop was absolutely amazing. Plus, booking through Ctrip got us two free West Lake boat tickets, which alone were worth 100 RMB!

❌ Strongly not recommended! The room type was completely different from what was advertised, leading to misleading consumption. I booked two rooms: one standard twin room for over 500, and a so-called 'spliced king room' for 888. Upon arrival, I found that the 888 room was not a single, integrated king-size bed. It was just two single beds from a standard room pushed together, with the nightstand moved elsewhere. The room's hardware and layout were identical to a regular twin room. The booking page did not mention the crucial information about it being a spliced bed. Moving just two beds resulted in an extra 300+ in price. There was a gap between the two mattresses, which was very uncomfortable if you lay on it while sleeping. It definitely didn't provide the experience of a king-size bed. I paid a high price, expecting an exclusive king room, but it was just a simple, manually put-together bed. I was very disappointed. I've attached comparison photos to help future bookers avoid this pitfall.

An established hotel, clean and professional, with a rich breakfast and a nice viewing deck. The service was prompt and attentive, and they even sent complimentary fruit. The location is excellent, with many restaurants just across the street, and West Lake is also just a short walk away.

Right by West Lake, you can see Leifeng Pagoda from the 8th floor at night. The breakfast is also good.

What I really want to praise is the hotel's service. From the doorman to the front desk and the cleaning staff, everyone was so welcoming. They even brought us a lot of fruit, which made us feel so at home. This classic hotel truly lives up to its reputation – professional, reliable, and excellent service. I'll definitely stay here again.

My stay at Wanghu Hotel exceeded my expectations! The front desk staff were so kind and made the check-in process smooth. They promptly delivered an extra set of toiletries and towels to my room, and even sent up some fruit. The breakfast was also good. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, and the floor attendants were very helpful and considerate. They even reminded me to check out the view from the 8th-floor terrace, which was fantastic! I truly recommend this hotel for your travels, and I'll definitely choose it again next time!

Facilities: High-floor rooms offer direct views of West Lake. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. Environment: Conveniently located right by the Wulin Night Market and West Lake, making for a beautiful setting. Service: I forgot something, and the hotel helped me mail it. When we checked out, the concierge and security even offered us ice water – a welcome relief from the 40-degree Celsius Hangzhou weather! Additionally, the breakfast hall is very grand with a great atmosphere, making for a comfortable dining experience.
