La Mandarina Hotel & Travel at 13 Hang Hanh Street

The location of this hotel is right in the heart of the old city. All attractions are within walking distance. We managed to see the city in 5 hours of walking. We could check in late at night and leave our luggage after check-out. There's drinking water at the reception. The staff are friendly. The only thing is that the room is a bit worn out, but if you're only staying to sleep and spending most of your time exploring, then it's perfectly fine.

The location is near restaurants, but it's not noisy at all. The room is spacious, the bed is large, and it's very close to the lake.

The location is great, close to the lake, and there are many shops nearby. Check-in was simple; I was just shown to my room without any paperwork. There was no explanation for anything, and I never figured out how the Wi-Fi worked. The room's interior is nice, but I felt the paintwork in the bathroom was a bit rough. The hot water works but is unstable. It was good that I could watch YouTube on the TV. The key is a physical type, and inserting it powers the room. So, if you leave, the power turns off. It's better to open the room door first, then remove the key. The hallway lights didn't turn on (and it's not an auto-lock), so locking the door when leaving was difficult and inconvenient. The staff were present, so an early check-out was fine. I felt bad because I woke them up and had them open the shutters for me. There was water and tissues, but no hand soap.

The hotel is right by Hoan Kiem Lake, with a pedestrian street downstairs. You'll know you're there when you spot the Mixue Ice Cream & Tea. The price is great, and the staff member (the young guy) provided excellent service. There's also a bar and food street nearby.

Very comfortable, with a large room and a balcony. The location is excellent, with a 'Snow King' (Xue Wang) store downstairs and many highly-rated restaurants, cafes, and bars with good views. It's lively at night but quiet upstairs. You can smoke on the balcony. The owner is very nice and helped me with taxis and communication – even calling the driver when they couldn't find me and helping with my luggage. I didn't ask for any room decorations, but they still laid out rose petals and other ornaments 😂

Great location, clean room. There was a faint smell of smoke coming from outside. Good quality and spacious room, but it's a shame there's no breakfast. The air conditioning was slow to cool, but the fan saved the day on a very hot day. The water pressure was strong with both hot and cold water available.

Everything was fine, the view was as expected. It was a bit hot in the room, the air conditioning was set to 16 degrees, but it didn't feel like it. The bed was very comfortable.

Downstairs, there's a Mixue Ice Cream & Tea, and just across the road is Hoan Kiem Lake, so it's really close to all the attractions. The hotel staff are very warm and friendly. It's super convenient for dining, entertainment, and sightseeing.
