Wanderlust Station Hostel

The hotel was situated near the Old Quarter but not too closed that you still have the quiet times when you go to sleep (or atleast not as loud). The staff were helpful but sometimes just couldn't help with stuff (like first aid). All in all I enjoyed my stay.

I had a large sum of money stolen from this hotel. Money was slowly stolen from my Australian, Korean, American, and Japanese wallets, which I had left in the locked locker I was given. Converted to Japanese yen, the total amount was 150,000 yen. I told the hotel staff, but they wouldn't let me see the security camera footage, insisting that "there was nothing unusual on the security cameras," and they didn't take the problem seriously. Since the money was in the locked locker, it was almost certain that the culprit was a staff member, yet they swept the incident under the rug. I reported it to the police, but they were lazy and didn't even check fingerprints, security cameras, or question staff. Of course, the embassy was no help either. This is a criminal hotel.

The main thing that make this hotel standout is about it location, close to most of Hanoi most famous spots. For the price, it is very good choice considering the convinient of the location. The room is normal, I book a Deluxe Queen Room, the view is good, however the amenities are quite old, since my room is on the top floor, the sound of the elevator is clear and really annoying. The hotel pressure also not good, and even though the room have a nice bathtub, the water heater is a old small device and not enough to fill the bathtub with hot water. The room is quite spacious though. All in all, if you need a hotel with good location to explore Hanoi on foot, this hotel is a good choice, but keep in mind that the room may not satisfy you. And I personally dont recommend the room on the top floor.
