Was I lucky to get a room on the top floor for about 5,000 yen? It was actually good. It's a little further from tourist spots like the night market than the accommodations in the heart of the old town, but the surrounding area is convenient with lots of restaurants, laundry shops and other shops. My impression is that many of the three-star hotels in the old town (accommodations costing around 3,000 to 4,000 yen) are shabby and the staff are not very motivated, so they tend to be a bit questionable.

The room is old, very small in size. The window is small and without ventilation. The staff is nice, the guys helped with booking a bus to another city 👍

A reasonable hotel with breakfast in the downtown area near Hanbon Street that has been used since before the coronavirus. The taste is good and the price is low (about ¥3,500 total for a hotpot meal for 3 to 4 people). I visit Hanoi four or five times a year, and it is becoming my regular place to stay.

As you get to the railway, it is better to go straight along it, it quickly and conveniently leaves.
