Harbin No.23 Mansion Hotel (Sofia Church Branch on Central Street)

The hotel room is very spacious and quite roomy for two adults. The pillows are comfortable, with two types to choose from. All the hotel staff are warm and friendly. The location is superb—just a 10-minute walk to St. Sophia Cathedral, right on Central Street, and a 30-minute walk to the Flood Control Monument and the riverside. A wonderful stay overall!

I chose to stay at this hotel because I heard the service was exceptionally attentive and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. True to reputation, I experienced this top-notch service firsthand. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, helping me check in quickly and giving a detailed introduction to the hotel's services and facilities. The room decor was high-end and sophisticated with a European style, making me feel right at home. All in all, I had a thoroughly pleasant stay at this hotel.

An amazing hotel with great value for money! Central Street is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get everywhere. Such a wonderful trip! Thumbs up to the hotel—they even gave us a gift and offered a late check-out based on our departure time!

Everything completely exceeded expectations! One day, we missed afternoon tea by just two minutes, and they actually extended it by half an hour just for us. Such a lovely and caring hotel—a huge thumbs-up! The location is also fantastic: Central Street is right at the doorstep, a left turn and a short walk lead straight to the Daoli Vegetable Market, and continuing straight for just one more block brings you to St. Sophia Cathedral. Highly recommended, and I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel boasts an exceptional location right at the southern end of Central Avenue, making it super convenient for food and sightseeing. Public bikes are easy to find, and hailing a cab is a breeze. The hotel's hardware is solid with a vintage retro decor style. The receptionist warmly accompanied us to view different room types and even offered a complimentary upgrade, and the housekeeping staff were attentive and diligent. The breakfast restaurant, located on the second floor inside a Western restaurant, offers an elegant ambiance. A few minor flaws: 1. The bed linens are not 100% cotton (we checked the label and confirmed with the housekeeping staff), which wasn't very comfortable; 2. The bathtub is almost square, but the disposable bathtub liner provided was rectangular—a case of providing something useful in theory, but completely impractical in reality.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, and the service was warm and attentive. The room was cozy and comfortable—I slept like a baby. Even though it faces Central Street, the windows do a great job of blocking out the noise. The complimentary afternoon tea on the rooftop terrace was wonderful as well!

This is our second time staying at Mansion No. 23. Seeing that we had kids with us, the front desk kindly upgraded us to a family room. The stay was exceptionally comfortable and full of playful, child-friendly touches—there were even little toys for the kids to play with. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and the location is absolutely fantastic.
