Mansion 1903 Hotel

Came to Harbin for an event and stayed at this hotel. The room was beautiful and very clean. The century-old building is very meaningful and distinctive. The service was thoughtful and attentive. I'll bring my family next time. Highly recommended! Thumbs up!

The room had a unique character and was very clean. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They shared the hotel's history and even took guests for a ride on the century-old Russian aristocratic elevator. Overall, it felt very much like a home away from home. I would definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance.

I arrived in the rain. It's just a short walk to Central Street, but the hotel is definitely quite old, much older than I expected. Even though they upgraded my room, it still felt old inside, and I lost the desire to take photos. I didn't even bother washing up that night, but for just one night's sleep, it was acceptable. Perhaps it was because the air conditioning had to be turned on after I entered the room, and the initial smell wasn't great. The service was also just average; no one offered to tell me about the century-old elevator, I had to ask about everything myself (though it seems to be common in the North). However, once I asked, the service was quite good. For breakfast, you have to leave the hotel and go downstairs. The breakfast was decent; you could order freshly made Eggs Benedict and smoked salmon sandwiches, in addition to the regular buffet. The 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was excellent, by the way. Overall, it was okay, but I wouldn't stay there again because I prefer newer hotels.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the middle of Central Street, making it convenient to visit St. Sophia Cathedral and the Songhua River. There are also plenty of shops and food options nearby. The service is fantastic; all the staff are proactive in greeting guests, being warm and polite. The room is clean and spacious, with a very charming retro European decor that's perfect for photos. Plus, fresh fruit is replenished daily. It's definitely the top choice for anyone visiting Harbin! (o^^o)

We stayed in the Royal Private Suite and checked in late in the afternoon upon our arrival in Harbin. The hotel lobby exudes a historical charm reminiscent of a century-old Russian mansion, with intricate carvings and a gold-leafed dome that creates a wonderful atmosphere, perfect for photos. The location is excellent, right by Central Street, making it super convenient for sightseeing and dining. The front desk check-in area is a bit small, differing from a typical five-star hotel lobby. The room itself has a grand layout, but being a century-old building, some of the indoor facilities show their age. When we checked in, some amenities like shower caps, soap, and hand soap were missing, but they were quickly delivered after we contacted the front desk. For a price of over 2000 per night, the hardware alone might seem a bit overpriced, but it's more about the unique experience of staying in a historic building. Overall, the service was good. The hotel offers a palace costume experience and features a century-old manual elevator. Breakfast is served in the underground wine cellar. It's ideal for travelers looking for a Russian retro experience, while those who prefer modern, standardized five-star facilities might want to consider this.

I heard that the Grand Mansion used to be rented out as a warehouse, and even housed many shops like a hair salon. When it was built, it already had 6 floors, so it must have been quite a tall building on the street. It's great that it's now uniformly renovated and operating as a hotel, maintaining and utilizing an immovable cultural relic. Our package included breakfast and a costume experience. Thanks to the lovely lady at the front desk for helping me put on the headpiece, just like the one the young lady wears! Taking photos in the brightly lit lobby turned out beautifully, making it an evening activity in itself. We didn't even bother going to Central Street for the night view anymore! 🤣 The mattress wasn't too soft, which was quite good for my back. The breakfast was also very rich. The pork chops were fried perfectly tender! The fruits were delicious, and the beetroot drink was natural, healthy, thirst-quenching, and refreshing.

The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. They even upgraded us to a junior suite, which had a beautiful Russian-style decor. The front desk staff also provided a fascinating explanation about the century-old elevator. There were plenty of free costumes by the elevator entrance for guests to take photos in. We absolutely loved this hotel, and my mother had a wonderful stay.

You absolutely *must* experience this century-old mansion in Harbin! This 1903 Russian-style building is a historical artifact in itself. The moment you step into the lobby, you're enveloped by a retro palace ambiance – gilded domes, opulent vintage chandeliers, antique oil paintings, and ornate curios everywhere. It's like stepping into an old Russian aristocratic estate. The hotel proactively contacted me via WeChat to arrange an early check-in. When we checked in, they noticed my husband had trouble with stairs and specifically assigned us a room without any steps. Seeing that we enjoyed capsule coffee, they even provided extra coffee pods, creamer, and water. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive.

I brought my parents, who are in their 80s, to Northeast China, and Harbin was our first stop. I specifically chose this hotel because it has a unique character. First and foremost, the location is incredibly convenient. It's only about 50 meters from the central part of Central Street, surrounded by many great restaurants, making it easy to get around. The hotel isn't large, I believe they mentioned 45 rooms. Since my parents have limited mobility, the Noble Garden Room we originally booked required a few steps, so we paid to upgrade to a suite. The decor is quite opulent, and the bathroom is very spacious. You can also experience the century-old elevator once. Overall, the service was very friendly. The only drawback is that breakfast is served in the basement, and you have to go outside and down a set of stairs from the hotel, which wasn't very convenient for my elderly parents. All in all, if the price is right and it's not peak season, I would highly recommend it.
