Shangri-La Harbin

Although the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained. The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around. Both breakfast and the executive lounge's light meals offer a rich variety of hygienic and delicious food. All the staff we encountered were professional, enthusiastic, and appropriately attentive; they would greet us or proactively offer help every time we saw them. They also responded quickly to our requests. In short, both the hardware and the service (software) made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommended (which is why I really don't understand why this hotel doesn't have a higher rating)!

This veteran five-star hotel truly lives up to its reputation. The location is superb, offering unbeatable river views from the window. The hardware clearly shows its past glory, and the overall atmosphere is excellent, making for a super comfortable night's sleep. The front desk lady during check-in was exceptionally kind (I even wrote down her employee ID, but accidentally washed the paper). She was so nice and patient. On a cold day, the duty manager arranged for heating and pork rib soup. When I needed to switch rooms, a tall, handsome guy in a red uniform, about 1.89 meters tall, helped me move all my belongings – I'm incredibly grateful. The staff outside the lobby entrance provided excellent service, opening car doors and handling luggage. Simply fantastic!

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the Songhua River. There's also a subway Line 3 entrance right outside, which takes you to Central Street and the riverfront. However, the hotel is quite old. The room facilities and amenities don't meet modern standards; the TV is very small, the showerhead in the bathroom is fixed and can't be detached, and the bed is also quite small. The hotel service, on the other hand, is great – very warm and attentive, and they even helped with our luggage. The hotel breakfast is also very good, with a rich variety of options, including many freshly baked breads.

The stay was very comfortable, and all the procedures were handled smoothly. The swimming pool was excellent; we stayed for 3 days and swam every day. The changing rooms and showers were also private and quiet. The hotel's front office managers, Wang Jingwen and Geng Jiamei, were very hospitable and left a wonderful impression on us. A delightful trip!

Traveling with family for leisure and also for a business trip, I had a very pleasant stay at Shangri-La for several days! It's an established hotel, and the breakfast was delicious! Bi Tong and the duty manager, Geng Jiamei, took excellent care of my children and elderly parents during meals. The hotel is also conveniently located right behind the Songhua River, which is great for a stroll!

What left the deepest impression during my stay was the hotel's service. The staff were warm, friendly, patient, and meticulous. The hotel is located by the Songhua River, and the river view room offered a pleasant view, where I took many photos. Plus, getting around was very convenient. It's a great accommodation choice for visiting Harbin.

We chose the Shangri-La Hotel for this trip primarily because of its Horizon Club River View room. And it certainly lived up to its reputation once we checked in! We stayed for 5 days and were treated to stunning sunsets every single day. The room facilities were great, and the environment was clean and tidy. The staff's professionalism was excellent, especially Ms. Xiao Bi at the executive lounge, who was kind and friendly, particularly to us seniors. The hotel's breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options, and the staff's service attitude was superb! The hotel is also conveniently located; a 2 RMB subway ride gets you to Central Street, Flood Control Monument, Stalin Park, and St. Sophia Cathedral – it truly is a hidden gem of a hotel!

The environment and location are good, and although the hotel is a bit old, it's well-maintained.

Returning to my hometown for a marathon, I specifically chose this fancy hotel from my childhood to relive some memories. The outdated facilities were expected and unavoidable. The service was enthusiastic but not thorough, a typical Northeast China style. For example, check-in was at 2 PM. I waited until 3 PM, fearing a crowd, but there were still no available rooms. I was told to wait 40 minutes and that someone would call me once the room was ready. However, I waited for an hour, and no call ever came. Still, seeing the mighty Songhua River flowing by, my unpleasant mood quickly dissipated. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience.
