The Train Hotel 🚂 – Right next to Hat Yai train station. We had a trip planned to Penang by train, so I specifically looked for a hotel that was easily walkable from the train station. This was crucial because we had luggage and an early morning train to catch. Initially, I booked another place closer to food options, but due to recent floods, that hotel's renovations weren't finished. So, this hotel became our top choice because of its incredibly convenient location. It truly lives up to its name, The Train Hotel, as it's right next to Hat Yai train station – you literally walk out and you're there! It has a great vibe, from the name to the atmosphere, making it perfect for sightseers, foodies, or anyone who values convenient travel. I should mention that the hotel isn't new; it has more of an older, classic decor. However, the rooms are clean and have a subtle train-themed feel. The hotel building is quite tall, and the lobby is elevated, which might offer some protection from potential flooding to the room floors. There's a lift, and some rooms have hairdryers. We booked two rooms; one had a hairdryer, the other didn't. To be safe, it's a good idea to make a note when you book. Rooms also come with a TV and a bathtub. If you arrive on a late flight, you can still find food nearby. There's a 7-Eleven about 500-600 meters away. Robinson department store is close by, or you can walk to the food areas around Lee Plaza – I had some really delicious noodles there! For anyone visiting Hat Yai who wants easy travel access, a decent price, and a comfortable stay, I'd highly recommend this place.

Great to checkin around 1pm and THB300 cash deposit required. We stayed in a twin bedroom on the third floor so can hear less noise of the train/ announcements. The bathroom is small with a simple shower hose!

Right in the train station hall, super convenient for getting around. The service lady was very nice, and the hygiene was good. The only downside is they don't speak Chinese.

I understand after big flood, they need time to reinstall. The lift was still under maintenance , the hotel was not fully operated. Great place, clean, and conveniently located near the train station.

The hotel is very worn out. Need to renovate/make good seriously. 1) Lobby Aircond turn off at all time, only on upon request (not welcoming on a hot Sunny day). 2) Late check-in time (3pm) due to late laundry delivery for housekeeping. 3) Very worn out and dirty room (Greyish-white pillow), dusty bed frame and scary toilet. 4) The lift was out of order 2 days for my 4 days stay. 5) Free parking (park at the road site) 6) Smelly carpet at the walkway before entering room. 7) The room fridge is off when you leave the hotel room along with the room key. 8) My sincere experience on (17th September 2025).

Nice and near train station

If you need to catch the early train it's very affordable with great location. There's a lot of tuktuk nearby, you can always catch them to go anywhere. The hotel receptionist allow us to put our bags at the lobby as we arrived early than the check in time. The family room was big enough for 4 of us.

Perfect location for the train station

Good service, the receptionist allowed us to check-in early before 12 pm. The family room was big and much enough for 4 adults. But, the wifi hotel in the room is quite slow and sometimes we have to reconnect. Overall, the staff was good and excellent. Also, very convenient for the travellers who come to Hatyai by train as this hotel is just beside the train station. Would like to visit again, thank you!
