Three friends and I stayed at the Hill House on the property.It was a great experience.The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds.The kitchen had everything you needed if you wished to cook.We had dinner in the dining room in the main house which was delicious.Pre dinner drinks in the drawing room provided a chance to meet other guests.A highlight of breakfast was Sophie’s home made bread!After a short stroll to the beach we wandered around the property.Hawley House is all and more as stated in the write up.It’s a great place to stay if catching the Spirit of Tasmania as it isn’t far from Devonport.Loved everything about our stay.Sophie is a wonderful hostess and we could see why she had such a passion for the property.

Absolutely character filled, and very welcoming and friendly. The location was so convenient to the beach, and even though we did not stay long enough to go for a walk through the bush paths, we loved the casual relaxing grounds. So peaceful.

A comfortable stay in a lovely location, Hawley House is worth visiting. The food on offer at the inhouse restaurant was delicious, breakfast was also sumptuous. The cellar was well stocked. The walk to the beach was short, the air was fresh and invigorating. A grea spot from which to explore this part of Tasmania

While I realise that some will find reason to complain regardless, this accommodation house is wonderful. There is a plethora of curio both inside and outside in the grounds while the service is oriented toward the patrons with no fuss. This combined with the excellent evening meals served from the kitchen made our stay comfortable. We would not hesitate to return for another stay.

We stayed at Hawley House for four nights and felt so at home and so welcome we really didn't want to leave. When we arrived Sophie and her 3 beautiful dogs welcomed us and she suggested some local places for dinner as the restaurant was not open that night but was every other night we stayed. Breakfast was fresh fruit, a variety of cereals with yoghurt and home made bread and spreads for toast. Sophie was able to provide almond milk and GF bread for me and there was a good choice of gf meals for dinner. The art work is amazing and Sophie has some amazing stories about the works and furniture. Take your time to look around, look up and enjoy the property. Our pre dinner drinks before dinner were served in the front room and our meals were very tasty and beautifully presented by staff who looked after us. This was a great stay as a base to explore the north each day. Comfortable, well ventilated rooms with heaters and lots if blankets for when the weather changes. This house has a story and it was fun to explore and stay in a 146 year old home. Thank you to Sophie and the team Shona and Eric from Rockhampton Qld.

This accommodation is the worst we have ever encountered. We actually didn’t stay there as just the look and smell of the house and our room was really unpleasant. I don’t understand the write up this accommodation gets as it is very very bad. It is pet friendly but unfortunately that comes with pet smells. The picture of Hawley House is not a true picture. Very very disappointing experience

We had three delightful days at Hawley House. Lovely walks in the extensive gardens, or to the dog-friendly beach, our labradoodle interacting with the resident dogs, who treated her like canine royalty. Delicious breakfasts, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. We couldn't have been happier. Will definitely stay at Hawley House again.
