Check out time is tight on the minute. There is no housekeeping service unless you request specifically. The towels are not changed as you request them specifically .

The hotel is just beside the Chinatown tram. Perfect location and all the facilities provided were best. Spacious room and friendly staff.

I usually do not post reviews, but I had to this time to share my experiences. I stayed for a total of 5 nights, Tue and check out on Sunday(7-12 Feb 2023) Plus point -Location is really good , plenty of thai/chinese restaurants and room is huge. -Bed is comfortable, -Yoshie is one that was one more friendly staff that I remembered her name , please give her a raise or wine on me.(she is a Japanese, in case i got her name wrong) Hotel staff, is a on and off experience. The night ones tend to be more "cold" and the day ones are much better.( again, Yoshie was the "better" ones, there are more, but I couldnt remember their name) Now on to the exciting part... Tuesday- Checkin day, A smooth day but without hand towels and when I asked for them before leaving the place for a concert. ( they claim they were in laundry or something and I find it hard to believe for a 5 star accommodation) We were without a frying pan as well( they send it up though when i called for it) Wed- Requested for toothbrush/Toiletries and had to request again after waiting for more than an hour, as it was forgotten ,I presumed Thu- Requested to change towel when we went out in morning, nothing was done when we were back in evening. I especially informed the morning reception guys to not forget it, but someone in the middle must have forgotten it. Evening time, The staff upon informing said they will have it there in 10 mins, which they did. By the way, the phone became faulty but I didn't bother to inform as I thought I wont have much trouble with it not in use. I was wrong. Friday- The express cleaning end-up with all the towels taken away and, thats it. We found out when we were back in evening. We were left with no towels and on top of that the phone was not working so I had to go downstairs to inform the reception/staff , on night shift i suppose. Again they said would be there in 10 mins, which more or less they did. Saturday- There was a huge cockroach and I had to kill it myself, informed the staff downstairs but honestly I dont expect change of room or anything, just to feedback. From the above, you can see there were full of dramas and I think these are basic expectations.(especially the towel part) Would I be back there if I ever go Sydney again? Unlikely.

Awesome place to stay, has a kitchen as well so that you can cook your meals.

The locations was great and had easy to access to everything. The tram was right outside and surround by great restaurants. The room was very nice and comfortable. Only issue was after showers the room would have a damp smell but once opening the window for a while it was fine. For the location and price, would definitely go again when in Sydney.

Location is excellent, tram station is just downstairs, Central train station is less than 10 minutes walk. Plenty of restaurants and shops around…China town is just across the street! Room is very basic, fixtures are wore off,  cleanliness was average.

It was a great service by Manager. Actually, we booked wrong, was small. Of course we paid extra fee to change the room but we were very satisfied stayed at Meriton...we will book there again for next our family trip to Sydney. Highly appreciated to Meriton reception team & Manager. Strongly recommendable to our friends.

Perfect CBD hotel

Good location. Service was good.

A very good accommodation experience. The location is close to Chinatown, the station, supermarkets, restaurants, and bars. It is very convenient. The room is large and equipped with a stove, dining table, coffee machine, pots, tableware, washing machine, and dryer. It is very convenient and comfortable for our 10-day stay. There are a variety of restaurants nearby, including Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese and Western. It is within walking distance to depar**ent stores and shopping malls.

Quiet and clean. The room is big. Chinatown is right downstairs. The transportation is very convenient. You can also see a bit of the Opera House.

The room is clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the location is excellent. The surrounding transportation is very convenient. There are many restaurants very close to China town. The only drawback is the design of the bathroom door. The door opens inward, leaving only a small space to enter, which is very inconvenient.

The room was OK, simple decoration, don't expect too much, washing machine is good, a little noisy. The guy at the front desk was weird, maybe Chinese. I booked it with Ctrip at first, but they didn't show it, and they didn't ask for help, just handed me a business card and asked me to book it on the official website, what a joke after I paid. Later, they asked me to write an address, I have never encountered a hotel asking you to write an address, I said I don't have an address here, I just flew in this afternoon, he was shocked and asked: you do not have an address, you are like homeless?

The biggest advantage of this hotel is that the location is really great! L3 and L2 Pony are just outside the door, and L1 is at the same intersection. The Train is also convenient, so it is very convenient no matter where you go. If you walk, you can walk along Geo St all the way to Circular Quay, passing Town Hall, QVB, etc. We also tried to walk from the hotel to Darling Harbor, UTC and the University of Sydney, Hyde Park, museums, China Town, etc., and they were all very convenient! The disadvantage of the room is that when we opened the balcony door of Room 1510, there was a huge fume exhaust vent, so we couldn't sit on the balcony and drink a cup of coffee, and the sound was a bit noisy. Overall, not bad!
