The location was perfect for hooking up with family. Apart from this: the hotel is shabby and basic. Bedrooms had a sweaty odour, bedding and towels were cheap and needed replacing. Our room was tidied on the first day. We noticed the toilet roll had been folded into points, my shower hat from home - which I'd hung up, had been thrown away and the beds left UNMADE. We had a kettle and no cups or spoons. The other (triple) room had 2 cups. Lighting ineffective and some not working. This is not a place to hang out. We didn't try breakfast (€15 each) based on them not getting the important details of comfort right. We liked the bakery for breakfast pastries near the supermarket.

A very comfortable and welcoming family-run hotel. The owners are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and mine had a balcony looking out over the Neckar, perfect place to relax after a busy day. Dinner in the onsite restaurant was delicious and a wide choice at breakfast. I would be happy to return.

A family-run hotel, full of character and charm. Really appreciated the balcony overlooking the Neckar river and the ability to chat to my friend in the room next door. The owners were ready to offer advice about public transport into the centre of Heidelberg, as well as local events. The restaurant offered a good quality breakfast and evening meal. Best of all, we really did feel welcome.

Very peaceful, the scenery towards neckar river and its surrounding is amazing. The staff very helpful and kind. The wifi provided by the hotel is also fast. The bus stop is in front of the hotel so it's very easy to travel by bus. It is very easy to visit the old bridge by bus

This place is an amazing surprise. We decided to try our luck with a local motel instead of a chain. This was the best decision for this trip. Amazing host! Offered a discounted upgrade with a river view and a balcony. He mentioned that we hadn't inclyded the breakfast. When I told him what we wanted he said he would have it and would cook to order, just to let him know when he could expect us. This isn't like a normal hotel. This is more like a bed and breakfast. The hosts put their heart and soul into this place. It's beautiful, clean, and well cared for. They, humbly, list good place as a 3-Star but, reality is that is much more. We are very picky, and highly recommend this place!!
