The hotel itself is lovely, rooms were clean, beds were firm. I've stayed before and the breakfast was good but this time it was £16, which we were not willing to pay nearly £50 for a family breakfast! The pool area, while nice facilities, were very cold. I couldn't get into the pool as I have health issues and knew this kind of temperature would have made me feel poorly. The kids were happy to use it though. I just wish the use of hot tub was included or at least at a slightly lower price as £15 each is a bit much when you consider paying for 3 of you! Overall, a great base for the area and only 15 mins from meadowhall, which was our main visit. Staff all good.

Comfortable, good breakfast and helpful staff. However the hotel is aging and the bathroom seals around the bath and shower showed black mould stains. The furniture shows signs of wear and tear. Everything functional and clean though. I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is converted from a local old building, and the bricks are said to be hundreds of years old. It has a typical English country style, and there is a small grove of trees next door for a walk. It is very fresh and natural, making it a good choice for business trips and family vacations.

This was booked months ago for a birthday getaway. We arrived late ( our fault I know ), went to the car park and then had to wait 25 minutes to check in ( partner is due to give birth in 2 weeks ) Then we needed a sat nav to get to the room. Ok room was nice and clean ( Tv didn’t work ). So we thought ok go to the hot tub and relax, asked a member of staff for directions and was told it was literally straight down the walkway and through the door. We got to the pool and it was freezing, the hot tub was a cold tub so that was very disappointing indeed. Bed comfy and shower good as well. Then breakfast the next morning was booked for 9:45 and had to q so the staff member could seat 8 other people that were booked for 10am, then got to us and said “let me see if we have a table” and walked off, 10 minutes go by and we still waiting, then see the same woman serving coffee out to people all whilst 4/5 tables are clearly empty. So a different staff member comes over to seat us. Partner is not happy with this at all and after the good reviews I was really looking forward to my stay.
