Please think again if considering booking a room at this hotel. While the staff are genuinely polite and understanding the hotel itself is no longer fit for purpose. The corridors smell badly of damp and this is only amplified when entering the rooms. The high levels of mould, ingrained grime, wear and tear, and unsafe fixtures and fittings meant we were forced to immediately check back out and find alternate accommodation. Travelodge should be ashamed of letting their team members have to represent and work here - a tired, dirty hotel in very dire need of a complete upgrade.

I have stayed here twice most recently this weekend. As always the rooms are functional but spacious and spotlessly clean. My positive review really goes to the staff- smiling and cheerful , very helpful, chatty and accommodating. So a big thumbs up 👍

Stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding nearby. Was bright , spacious and functional. All staff were helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us . A massive thank you to all the staff at kendal.

This was our first stay in a Travelodge and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff on the reception desk were very friendly and helpful, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and although we were near a busy road the double-glazing meant the room was still quiet. We order pizza one evening and this was very tasty, excellent value and delivered quickly by the friendly lady on reception. All in all our two night stay was a very good experience and exceptional value for money.

we booked it online and the process was easy to follow. booking in was very easy,the reception staff were very friendly. the rooms were clean and well designed. the wet rooms are excellant as my wife is disabled. checking out was easy as we left the key cards and walked out.

Great location as a base for our visit. Room was at the front of the hotel but the road noise was low and not disruptive. Very good value for money if all you need is a comfortable bed and a decent shower. Kendal is only a few minutes away by car and access to Windermere etc. is straight forward.

if you’re going to stay at this hotel. You really do need a car. There is a garage right next door where you can grab some essentials but the nearest town is an hours walk so to get food and entertainment. You will have to walk down a very busy, dual carriageway

The hotel was clean and well positioned for access to the Lakes. However the pillows were like sandbags and the room heater would randomly glow green illuminating the room at night like a Jedi lightsaber.

Excellent location, no noise even though road side, comfortable beds, all facilities you need. Pizza ordered from receptionist- under £10 delivered hot and fresh to room within 15 minutes. Friendly staff, loads of parking- £3 per 24 hours. Family room had a big double and two single beds, really roomy. Coffee and tea provided. Would stay again
