Amazing place to relax! Great breakfast. My recommendation: visit the spa after 7:30 PM, when the child-free hours begin. The atmosphere is much more peaceful.

Based on google it is a 4 star but i would say 3.5 star. Clean and comfort, but very cramped and most of amenities need to be paid which ai didnt expect. Im used to 4 - 5 stars hotel that provide all of these as complimentary. The breakfast selection not much but it was great

We booked the comfort room and were not disappointed. We also requested a good view and they did not disappoint either! Only negative thing about our time was that the steam sauna was closed during our visit (July 2026). Otherwise the spa was very nice.

You could do better with your communication. Even al least some information leaflets in English about how to access some services Otherwise it was ok

Very nice and welcoming staff! Nice wait staff in the restaurant too. Nice little room. Would definitely come back! The wellness area was a bit pricey for an add on but really nice and chill when quiet! I just would have liked a staff member there to manage noise and groups as I wanted to go on my last night but it was very overcrowded with loud intimidating groups. The location was pretty good, out of the centre but very accessible by tram.

My 1st visit to Helsinki was impressive by Valo Hotel with their friendliness and helpful staff. The daily buffet breakfast are also very good spread. Nice juices and with good coffee.

Very clean hotel, sauna and stuff the breakfast was absolutely amazing very tasty buffet.

Clean and new looking. Online check-in and check-out work well. Just be aware that you can online check-in even if your room is not available yet and no one will tell you when it is available — you will have to sit around and go to check the availability from the self-service check-in every once in a while. When I asked staff at the desk, they just said the check-in is at 16 and they don’t know about the availabilities and that I should try the self-service again in half an hour intervals. Breakfast was good, was hoping to find more fresh fruit and common breakfast drinks like orange juice and hot chocolate. The room could’ve had something to place shoes on, especially during winter all the snow just melted directly onto the floorboards.

Nice modern hotel. Small room but it has everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Staffs were super helpful and friendly. Would love to stay here if I ever visit Helsinki in the future.

The hotel has very long check in queue but otherwise it is generally clean

i had a great stay in this hotel. i experienced a refreshing atmosphere. quite impressive architecture. a unique atmosphere. i recommend this hotel. but the only problem is the location. far from city center / tourist area
