Good value art deco hotel for a three night stay. Exceptional breakfast. Not very helpful pre advice about location. So…
If you are coming from Helsinki port (eg ferry from Tallinn), get the tram 7T to Kaisaniemenpuisto. Then a short walk to the hotel. Tap and pay at the ticket machine for €3.20 one way, zone AB.
From Helsinki airport, get the train to Helsinki main train station, 33 mins, tap and go, zone ABC. To get there walk down the road for 7 to 10 mins; contemplate some cobbled streets when wheeling luggage, but not an issue.
NB Helsinki Kampii is the main BUS/COACH terminal that you may use to go to Porvoo for a wonderful daytrip; a bit more of a walk from the Arthur Hotel ( use Google maps). Not to be confused with the Art Deco train station. All are walkable.
Finally, a visit to Suomenlinna (zone AB tap & go) is recommended along with Senate Square/the Cathedral & the Russian Cathedral.
Great restaurant for Finnish food and beer under €7 is Ravintola Kolme Kruunua. Lovely shops at the harbour stalls & Craft Corner. Take a walk down the Esplanade.
Lovely new hotel, very clean and modern, just at the train station (quite convenient), but also next to the city center attractions. The staff was incredibly welcoming and nice. Check in and check out was smooth.
The room was cozy and beds were comfortable, and had all needed amenities.
10/10!
Overall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing.
I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip.
Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest.
Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion.
Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity.
In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank you

Facilities: The bedding is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and tidy, and there's a kettle and a hairdryer!
Environment: Right next to the central train station! Convenient for dining and shopping!
Service: Efficient and polite!
A very premium and pleasant experience!
The breakfast is rich and the restaurant is beautiful!
Our experience wasn't off to a good start, dealing with Jason when dropping our bags in the morning. He was borderline ******, assuming we were with the other Asian groups, making presumptions about our requests, and had difficulties understanding our requests on arranging for early to-go breakfast boxes.
But everything else during our stay was perfect hence the 5 stars. Everyone else we dealt with, including the house keepers, restaurant staff and cleaners were all great - very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is strategically located right next to the Central railway station.
The room itself was large and clean and beautifully decorated. We also tried out the facilities including sauna and cold plunge (a Finnish culture), which were top notch. The gym was also world class and properly better equipped than some other commercial gyms out there.
The other highlight was the breakfast. So many options even for vegetarians like us, all allergens clearly labelled.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's ever in Helsinki.
The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the central train station and within walking distance to all the city's popular attractions. The room layout is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide range of dining options. The service and staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming! We especially enjoyed the hotel's restaurant, which was open until 10pm, allowing us to enjoy dinner at the end of a day of sightseeing, and the food was delicious. We ate in the restaurant three times during our three night stay at the hotel, as the food was really excellent and the very professional staff there, Carina, was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you Carina!
The location is very good, you can walk to any place you want to go, the window is very comfortable and quiet, the room is a little small, but it is enough for one person, the breakfast is very good and tastes very good. You need to swipe your card to enter and exit the elevator and floor door, it feels safe
The hotel is very close to the Helsinki Railway Station. We dragged our suitcases in the snow for about 10 minutes. It was 5 minutes from the main road. google positioning was very accurate. The disadvantage was to climb a small staircase. It was a bit hard to take the luggage, but it was not in the way. Self-service, Before check-in, you will send a mail to inform the door password and room password. You can read the email and open the door password first. You can put your luggage in the luggage room. When you leave, you can store it (remember to check out at 23:00 on the day of check-out). The room is large, there is a hot water bottle, the refrigerator is soundproof, there is a TV small table, The toilet space is also large, hot water is enough, shampoo/hair care/bath gel is provided, hair dryer is also provided, room heating is enough, English is not good, don't be afraid, you can understand check-in/check-out English, others are numbers, very convenient, free communication,5-8 minutes away from the mall, there are restaurants/supermarkets nearby, Walk slowly from the tourist's favorite farmer's market in 10-15 minutes to walk (take pictures while walking) The first day has arrived at 8 o'clock and put down the luggage. After half a day, I walked to the farmer's market/open-air market/Helsinki Cathedral/rock church/library/and a red church (forgot what it is called) I went shopping and took a photo. The time was very good. It was really convenient. I was very satisfied with the hotel with such a high cp value in Finland! ! I hope these real evaluations will help the passengers behind, 2026/01/26 stay, recommend a restaurant (kappeli) near the hotel to provide cream salmon soup at 11 noon 16.9 euros/person, self-service shake soup, bread to eat, soup can also be continued, the environment is beautiful, the soup is also very good, suitable for taking pictures, Eat and drink, another (Fazer cafe) chain store near the hotel, many nearby, cinnamon rolls are very pleasantly surprised!
I’m so glad I chose this hotel in the last minute. The staff are very friendly, the room is clean, new and fresh; and the bed and pillows are very comfy. They have extensive range of breakfast, even gluten free and dairy free smoothies. Sauna is super nice and clean, and free! But what surprised me the most (very nice surprise) is they have the mini shower/bidet in the toilet 👍😀
Had a wonderful stay at Sokos hotel. The rooms were very clean, quiet, comfortable and also suitable for business travels (mini fridge, iron, nice small closet).
The breakfast was spectacular and the view from the room is beautiful.
The only downsides are that a gym is advertised, but it is in a neighbouring (10 mins walk) hotel, and that the sauna opening hours are quite limited (6pm to 10pm) compared to other hotels in the area. Nevertheless, i recommend it.

Amazing
NNgai WahThis is probably one of the most prestigious hotels in Helsinki. The location is great. The staff is professional and helpful. The breakfast is varied and well serviced. The room and bathroom are clean. The bedding on the bed is very comfortable.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center, making it very convenient for getting around, shopping, and dining. The breakfast spread was also very good. I arrived at 6 AM, and since most European hotels don't allow early check-in, after speaking with them, the hotel agreed to let me check in early for an additional 100 Euros and upgraded me to a suite.
ううしみIt is convenient because it is close to the station. Breakfast is delicious.
However, when the response is better than the person at the front desk? ? When. It was the second time.
