Holiday Inn & Suites ROCHESTER - MARKETPLACE by IHG

The location is great, there is a mall nearby where you can go shopping. Also, a shakeshack just right in front, also Panera bread.

Bad experience with this hotel. Booked a room for my son as he was travelling there. Returning from dinner after 7pm, he could not get back into his room as his card key does not work. The front desk looked at it and said there was a problem with the lock that only the maintenance personnel can fix. Problem is they do not have any maintenance people there and asked that he wait till next day! Imagine all his belongings locked in the room and he had to stay in another room for the night. To make things worse, the maintenance personnel came in next day only after 11am. This is in spite of us calling several times, escalating to the General Manager to chase up and demanding priority attention! It was very upsetting as my son’s phone battery was drained and could not get to his things that he needed to work in the morning. Fortunately, his flight out was the next day, else it would have been a costly incident. Overall, a very stressful experience.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Despite having prepaid the accommodation fees on Trip, they forcibly charged me again. The three cleaning product bottles in the bathroom were all damaged, with holes deliberately poked in them, making them unusable. I’m currently negotiating to get back the overcharged two-night room fee of over $1,000. This awful hotel is truly a rip-off.

Clean room, pleasant staff, continental breakfast, even though it was supposed to be a full breakfast.

There were multiple problems with room and could not get room switched on first night. Issues were not fully disovered until later in the evening. Although room was swapped the next night, hotel would not refund for first night, nor did they send someone to fix the issues the following morning. It took a trip to the front desk in the afternoon to ask for a follow up. The front desk person confirmed they lnew of the issues, but unfortunately didn't act to resolve them first thing in the a.m. Broken hotel phone, including use of speaker phone. Ceiling leaks in room Broken microwave Blown light bulb There was also a section of the hotel that was being renovated, but the hotel did not block the section or put up signs to share notification with guests Media collected in order to share with third party for refund

I had a 5 day stay the grill/stove was broke the whole time after being told it would be fixed after two days. There was no hot food during breakfast but still charged full price. The blankets and bathroom sink smelled of mildew.

We had a great time, coming in clutch to save a weekend that started rocky. We got a great room, apparently one of the newly remodeled, and enjoy a full night of rest. Quite the find!

Staff was friendly but the towels i had was dirty foled like they were clean top comforter smelled dirty i was in awe. Very poor for the cleaning maids.
