Windsor Hotel

Perfect for a one night stay, the room was clean, and met our needs, the bed was a little to firm for our liking, (would be nice if toppers were available), ok for one night, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast area has a lovely outlook, the buffet was quite extensive, and enjoyable.

Overnight stay on a tour. The room was very good with wonderful views of the ocean across the road. Unfortunately the lifts were not working but otherwise would recommend. Had a good breakfast and staff were good.

Beautiful old style hotel. Comfortable rooms, great beds. Staff were so lovely. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Make sure to get an ocean facing room, you wont be disappointed!!

I was here for just one night on my way back to Cape Town. The most beautiful thing about this hotel is the location, right in the ocean. I found the interior quite basic, but that is fine. The beds were comfortable, WiFi worked well and staff are helpful. Short walk to the centre of Hermanus. As I left very early I didn’t get to try the breakfast.

We only had two nights here as part of a wider Garden Route adventure. We really liked the hotel, beautifully located on the cliff edge with stunning views. Alright, we didn’t have a room with a sea view but our top floor room have a lovely view of the mountains and if we wanted to sea view we got off our behinds and walked to the front of the hotel. The staff were wonderful as was the breakfast. Our room had a comfy bed and a great shower. There are some lovely restaurants within a 5 minute walk so plenty of opportunity to eat out. Don’t forget to look for the dozing Owls in the trees at the quadrant near the car park. Overall a great experience and comes highly recommended if you’re in the area.

The Windsor apartments are ideally situated to walk to shops restaurants and enjoy the views The flat was very comfortable and we will go there again

My mom and I spent a night at this hotel in September. We were looking for a simple stay over. It was a last minute, spontaneous decision that turned out to be a lovely surprise. The hotel is situated right on the sea front with amazing sea views and, since it was whale season, the sea view had extra appeal! The main part of the hotel is an historic building with beautiful high ceilings and comfortable shared spaces. We enjoyed chatting in one of the lounges, made extra cosy by a fire, couches and books to read. The staff were another good surprise… they were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! The price for a twin room was very reasonable and included a delicious breakfast (with sea view). Right in front of the hotel is a lovely pathway with benches, wild flowers and artwork. Many good restaurants are to be found a short walk away along the same path

Located right on the sea front and a short stroll to shops and restaurants. Beautifully appointed hotel. We had a ground floor room at the back which had the benefit of a balcony. If I was staying again I would definitely go for a sea view balcony. Good breakfast but no unsweetened plain yoghurt available. No AC. A great place to stay.

Windsor hotel has the best position in town, right at the ocean. Rooms at the sea-facing side aren’t big, but ok. If you need to read or write, there is an abundance of common facilities for that. No lift, no outdoor facilities. Breakfast is fine. I you come at top whalewatching season, You can watch from you room.
