Ritas Hotel

The hotel is located on the very shore of Narigama beach, 50 meters from the ocean. Breakfast takes place in a restaurant with a gorgeous view of the ocean. A light breeze constantly blows, so the heat is easily tolerated. There are many sun loungers and surf schools on the shore. This is one of the few places in Hikkaduwa where you can swim almost every day. We are happy to return to this hotel for the third time.

The hotel is terrible, ruined the whole impression of the vacation. We couldn’t live there even for 2 days. First we checked into a room where everything was wet from humidity, smelled of damp, everything was terribly dirty and rusty. By the evening of the first day, our toilet completely broke down. We tried to solve this problem immediately, but after waiting 20 minutes at the reception, there was no one waiting. Having gone to breakfast in the morning, we were left hungry. They brought a small omelette and bread and butter. After an argument with the staff, we were moved, but the situation did not improve. The bed is dirty, the table is all stained. You can completely forget about the beach, right next to this hotel everything is in the trash. You won't be able to eat in their restaurant in the evening; it simply doesn't work. There are only 2 towels in the room for 2 persons (for hands, feet, body). If you don't want to ruin your vacation, avoid this hotel.

The hotel is luxurious, with a balcony overlooking the sea, the staff is very pleasant, we have been vacationing here for several years. The staff is very pleasant, the rooms are cool, there is everything you need, towels are changed, toilet paper is replenished Good accessibility I don’t understand how someone can write that the hotel is poor? I was here in a 5-star hotel and spat, the reception and pool are beautiful and the rooms are like in a barn, so I’m very pleased with the hotel and the service. I recommend !

Rest from 11/21/22 to 12/01/2022 the hotel is very poor, there is nothing even a TV at the reception, the rooms are miserable, only beds with capes, a table with a chair, a miserable hanging closet, the door does not open, two shelves and a mirror with a shelf and a poorly opening drawer. There is a shower in the bathroom, almost without pressure, Hot water barely flows, they don’t remove it, and if they remove the bed, they wash the floors with a rope mop, for decks and all the sand remains on the floor, there is nowhere to throw garbage, they remove buckets even from the floors, everything is very miserable, there is no beach, because the waves are very high and reach the hotel, it’s very noisy to sleep because of the waves, the food was the same breakfast, Rating 3+, not a buffet, but what they bring, eggs, coffee or tea, butter, toast bread, jam. The light is turned off three times a day, constantly, there is no Internet in the rooms, wai wai does not pull, there is no TV, no refrigerator, no kettle, only the ocean. I don’t recommend it, we just have to endure well, and just warm for us is already a joy. It’s very, very poor, I don’t think anyone will like it, but the poor country itself is not for civilized people, don’t waste money and time, just don’t go to them.

Ritas 3* in Sri Lanka. A gorgeous, beautiful country, but the hotel ruined the whole experience. VERY dirty hotel, not attentive staff, view of rooftops and garbage dump. The breakfast restaurant is dirty and you have to wait a long time for staff!!!! This is not 3 stars, it's a dump!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

I don’t know who could like this Hostel, when the conditions around in other hotels are much better and for the same price (this is not only our opinion, but also those who stopped by with us). We rested in November 2022, we were not immediately settled in the room, since there is never anyone at the reception. In the room - a bed, a table, a wardrobe without hangers, everything is shabby, rusty, creaking. The administrator offered another room (almost the same, but there is a rusty refrigerator and kettle) and requested an additional payment of $ 180, we refused. Asked for a kettle in the room, had to pay 5000 rupees. The rooms are not cleaned, the trash can was put on the common balcony (otherwise there are a lot of ants in the room), but even then it was 2 days. There is no beach at all, they huddled at a neighboring hotel, but in general it is impossible to swim in this place, there are always big waves, I had to ride a tuk-tuk to the turtle beach, the waves are small, but there are no sunbeds or umbrellas. Otherwise, of course, everything is fine, people are friendly, food in cafes is not expensive, but everywhere they try to deceive you and rip off extra money.
