The room has an old American family style, with decent attention to detail. There's a microwave and a kettle, and it's clean and tidy. Free parking is available in the yard, and there's a small bay right outside the entrance with a pleasant view.

They offer free luggage storage if you arrive early, which is a plus. The downside is that the room is very old and there's no air conditioning. It was incredibly hot when I visited in late June. I had to keep the curtains drawn during the day and leave the door open to cool down and get some air circulation.

Hotels in this area are generally overpriced. You're paying for a four or five-star hotel, but the quality is more like a low-budget guesthouse from back in the day in China.

It’s a great place due to the affordability.  It was a busy weekend and we couldn’t get a better room. Our room didn’t have the ocean breeze. We fasted the parking lot and all the bright lights from the building shone through all night. Curtains didn’t block it.  So I was happy with the room itself. I know they have better rooms. Unfortunately we didn’t get one this time.

Very, very average. The Wi-Fi was absolutely terrible, worse than a cheap motel back home. Try to avoid this place if you can. Hilo hotels are just not great, sigh.
