Route Inn Grantia Himi Wakuranoyado Reviews

If you book based on the photos, you'll likely be disappointed. I've stayed at various Route-Inn hotels, but this one feels particularly run-down. Come with the mindset that it's just a place to sleep, and don't expect too much. *The front desk staff, however, are excellent and professional! This review is purely about the facilities.

The onsen is very good. The meal is also outstanding. Room is clean.

It was about a 20-minute walk to the main festival venue, but we enjoyed it without having to worry about parking. While the access was excellent for our needs, it was far from Himi Station, so we took a taxi. The hotel's restaurant is open from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and there are few restaurants within walking distance (except Uotami), but there is a 7-Eleven nearby. The hotel's large public bath is small, but it was a hot spring. There is a coin-operated washing machine near the large public bath, but it was always full, so we went to the coin laundry right in front of it. Being able to wash our clothes quickly is very convenient. The breakfast menu was typical of Route Inn, but there were also some Toyama-style items (kamaboko and firefly squid). There was a coffee machine and table seating in the lobby, so we were able to spend the time relaxing and enjoying the cool breeze even though we had a little time before check-in.

The hot springs were nice, but the breakfast was a little lacking in side dishes.

It was a smoking room, it was terrible. The washlet was broken and I don't know about the refrigerator. It's a shame.

Grantia is one of the top Route Inns, and the hot springs are simply excellent. Having a free-flowing hot spring is rare for a business hotel. However, the service is inferior to that of rival hotels like Dormy Inn (which doesn't have one in Himi). Only smoking rooms were available, so it couldn't be helped, but the room smelled strongly of tobacco, the air purifier was drained for "hygienic reasons," the air conditioning was turned off when you go out, and the heat in the room after checking in was a real turn-off.

I stayed here during the Himi Festival. There was a large public bath, and I checked the TV to see how busy it was before going in. There were four washing areas inside and two outside. I used the large public bath three times: after arriving at the hotel, before going to bed, and after waking up in the morning. My skin became so smooth. The mattress on the bed was just the right firmness, so I slept soundly. I was able to enjoy my breakfast at my own pace, and the miso soup and white rice were delicious. Of course, the side dishes were also delicious. The complimentary plum juice was popular and ran out quickly, so I was disappointed that I couldn't drink it. For dinner, there was Uotami and a supermarket nearby, so it wasn't a problem. I would like to stay here again. And I truly hope that Himi will be able to recover.

It comes with a hot spring! It was great for my tired body! The salted fish for breakfast was delicious! I want to go again!

Although it was a single room, the room was spacious and the bed was large and comfortable. The drink service in the large communal bath was also great! I also used the free rental of a comfortable memory foam pillow! Thanks to that, I had a good night's sleep.

There were lots of small insects on the window in the room. The staff were very helpful.

The facility was well-cleaned and very clean. The complimentary coffee and post-bath drinks helped to ease the fatigue of travel. The only thing I was disappointed about was that although I chose this hotel because it had a large public bath, the temperature of the indoor bath was a little low, which was disappointing. Other than that, I was very satisfied!

I had some styrofoam containers I'd received from a relative's house that were getting in the way, so when I asked if they could get rid of them, they kindly took them off my hands, which was a huge help. I ended up freeing up the trunk of my car, so I was able to buy lots of souvenirs afterwards 😀Thank you so much.

I use it often. It's reasonably priced and easy to use.
