Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hiroshima-Ekimae

Having stayed at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel in Okayama the day before, I had a direct comparison, and it's clear the Hiroshima branch is newer. What I particularly loved was the impressive bathroom at the Hiroshima location, featuring a rare dry/wet separation for a Japanese hotel. The breakfast, as expected from Daiwa Roynet, maintained its excellent standard. As for the location, it's a pleasant five to six-minute walk: exit Hiroshima Station North, turn left, pass Hiroshima TV, and the entrance is right next to the 7-Eleven convenience store.

Our second night in Hiroshima at the Daiwa was fantastic! It's so close to the subway station, and the room was really spacious. I absolutely loved the Refa hairdryer provided; it made my hair so smooth – such a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was delicious too, and being able to overlook Hiroshima from the 20th floor was amazing. Highly recommend!

Overall, it's pretty good. It's very close to the JR station, but the female staff at the front desk generally had a lukewarm attitude, while the male staff were very nice. Breakfast was extensive and one of the better ones among Japanese hotels, and the restaurant offers a great view.

The hotel's location is excellent. From the second floor of JR Hiroshima Station, you can follow the skywalk across the street, and it's right next to Hiroshima TV. Having a 7-Eleven downstairs is also very convenient. The hotel's cleanliness and facilities are great, and the rooms are a bit larger than typical Japanese hotels. Breakfast is on the 20th floor with panoramic views, including the station. The variety is quite rich, and they even have Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. The only thing I hope they can improve is the towel-only replacement service. It's nice that clean towels are hung outside the door without disturbing guests, but it would be even better if there was a bin in the bathroom to dispose of used towels.

The hotel is a decent distance from the station, just a bridge away. The service overall was excellent. There's also a Pokémon specialty store right at the station, so I had to grab something while I was there! The hotel is quite large for Japan, and offers great value for money. Definitely recommended.
