Hiroshima Grand Intelligent Hotel Reviews

We stayed for three nights as a group of three in an Excellent Twin Room (room 807). We were delighted with everything! It's a wonderful hotel that makes a great first impression right from the moment you step in. The location is convenient – just a 5-minute walk from Hiroshima Station and the tram stops, making it easy to get to Miyajima and Hiroshima's main attractions. The hotel itself is like a museum, with designer interiors in a Western aristocratic style. It's a pleasure just to walk through the lobby, sit on the sofas, and take photos against the backdrop of suits of armor, fireplaces, and paintings. The room is spacious and comfortable, with separate bathroom, toilet, and sink areas. There's a special basket for used towels. In the hallway, there’s a wardrobe with lighting. There are also separate areas for working and getting ready. The beds are wide and comfortable. The breakfast is a good, varied buffet. As for drawbacks, I can point out the lack of power outlets next to the beds, weak hot water pressure in the sink, and weak Wi-Fi. Overall, we really liked the hotel and will definitely recommend it to our friends and acquaintances!

Subject: Zero flexibility and terrible customer service regarding a simple booking error I am extremely disappointed with how this hotel handles guest relations. I made a clerical error and accidentally booked for the wrong month (April instead of May). As soon as I realized the mistake, I contacted the hotel to move the reservation. Even though I expressed my sincere desire to stay at their property on the correct dates, the management showed zero flexibility. They chose to charge me the full amount as a "No Show" fee for a date that had already passed, refusing any kind of compromise, partial refund, or even a credit towards a future stay. While I understand they have policies, the lack of human empathy and unwillingness to assist a traveler with a genuine mistake is appalling. They would rather take your money for nothing than help you fix a date and welcome you as a guest. If you value a hotel that treats its guests like people and not just a credit card number, look elsewhere. There are plenty of other hotels in Hiroshima with much better hospitality (Omotenashi) than this one. Pros: None. Cons: Greedy management and rigid, unfriendly policies.

We didn’t expect much when we booked the hotel as it was a 3 star hotel but we were really surprised! It was way better than expected and the service was exceptional. We’ve noticed here in Japan a 3 star hotel is more like a 4/5* anywhere else in the world. They really do think if everything… amenities, coffee/tea. Location very convenient and close to Hiroshima station. Loved the hotel

I visited for a baseball game. It was my first time in Hiroshima, so I chose this hotel based on its vibe. It's within walking distance of the restaurant district known as 'Ekimae West.' It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Mazda Stadium, but it's definitely within walking distance. I also walked to Nagarekawa (or Nagarekawa?), the downtown entertainment area. I think it's a perfect location for sightseeing, no matter where you're going. There seems to be a path connected to the underground passage, but I couldn't figure it out until the end. The staff were very polite and helpful with all my questions, which left a great impression. They even held my luggage after the baseball game, so it was a well-thought-out and convenient location. The room was, of course, clean. There was also a welcome coffee station, and the hotel itself was calm and not rushed. Including the cost-performance, I'd give it a 100/100. Very close to the train station. Everything in this hotel screams retro, but all is well maintained. The only negative points were the automatic tap (annoying to use) in the bathroom and that the bathtub was not entirely clean.

The hotel is very close to the railway station with a convenience store just round the street corner. The staff are friendly and the room is exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good with a wide selection of Japanese and Western food. I will stay in this hotel again next time when I go to Hiroshima.

Location good in terms of access to train and tram, but didn't have many eating options outside that I knew of. Breakfast food ok. Rooms ok for our group.

Loved my stay at the hotel! The staff were so kind and friendly! It’s close to convenient stores too. The tv also had Netflix which was great!

Since I stayed in Onomichi and Hiroshima this time, I can't help but compare them... I was a little disappointed that there was no bottled water in the room and the slippers were very thin. The breakfast was delicious. It was very close to the station and had great access.

The area gets more lively after walking to Hiroshima Station, but the 7-Eleven nearby is quite convenient. The room itself is quite spacious, both the bathroom and the room are roomy! Considering the price, it's good value for money.

It was very clean and tidy, and I liked that the bathroom and toilet were separate! It was great to be able to soak in the bathtub for a long time!

I was surprised from the entrance! It felt kind of retro?! Overseas?! It was wonderful👍🏻It was close to the station, there was a convenience store next door, and the room was spacious. (Room for 3 people) The bathtub and toilet were separate! It's so convenient. I'd like to stay here again next time I come to Hiroshima!
