Checked in on the 29th (***** New Year's Eve) for a Chinese New Year getaway in Vietnam. The price was reasonable, so I booked the Hilton directly. Got a sea-view room on the 37th floor. To my surprise, there was a fireworks display that night, right in front of my face! It was absolutely a prime viewing spot. Outside, it was over 30 degrees Celsius, and tons of tourists were sitting on the street waiting to watch. I instantly felt like the hotel was well worth the price! The hotel breakfast was delicious, with unlimited coconut, salmon, and teppanyaki. The pool area also has a sauna, which enhanced the experience. The location is great; you can pretty much walk to everything you need. During Chinese New Year, many shops do close, but the festive atmosphere offers a unique experience!

Great location, right in the city center, and you get river views from the room. The room itself is very spacious, with a separate wet and dry area and a standalone bathtub. Service was excellent too; they brought our luggage straight up to the room. The only minor confusion was with the elevators – there were so many! One bank only goes to the lobby, another only to guest rooms, and a third goes everywhere. I don't recall seeing any clear signs explaining this.
