Rivergate Central

Exactly Like the Photos!  What we saw online is what we got—clean lines, new furniture, and good lighting. The bed and pillows felt hotel-level. Check-in and check-out were both contactless and easy. We loved the small welcome tea and clear house rules.

Perfect for first-time visitors. The host sent a simple Saigon starter guide with taxi tips and places to try. We walked to the bridge viewpoint and watched boats on the river. The bed was comfortable and the shower stayed hot. 

My stay at Rivergate Central was fairly straightforward, though the check-in process was a little unconventional compared to typical hotels. Instead of a front desk, I had to WhatsApp the provided number, and a staff member came down to meet me at the lobby. That said, the response was quick and efficient, so it didn’t feel inconvenient. One thing to note is their rule regarding luggage — if you’re carrying any, you’re required to use the service lift. It’s a bit unusual, so it’s good to be aware of this beforehand to avoid any confusion. The room itself was simple and cosy, equipped with basic amenities like a microwave, fridge, and sink. It’s not luxurious, but it does the job for a short stay. Cleanliness was decent overall, though nothing particularly standout. Checkout was very fuss-free. All I had to do was take a photo of the key and send it to the group chat they added me to, and that was it. Overall, a no-frills stay with a unique system — suitable if you’re looking for something simple and efficient.

The location is great with many convenience stores below. District 4 but just a bridge across District 1. The room size is decent too. However my room was a little dirty with visible dust and hair on the bed, and I spotted small cockroaches, luckily room service was responsive. Please take note to check your room condition first.

Great stay overall! The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout my visit. The hotel has a great location, making it easy to get around the city. The room was clean and comfortable, and I really enjoyed the beautiful city view from the window.

The studio is peaceful while the city energy sits just outside. The layout makes the smaller space feel open. We used the table for an hour of laptop time, then headed over the bridge and slept deeply every night.
