Well recommended because the place is very accessible to the city. It's near to every place that we went. The place is very home vibes especially to us because we spent our vacation there with our family members.

So Couco guest house is one of the best hostel type homestays I've stayed at..Very comfortable, clean, quiet and away from the noise that is the tourist area. It's central district 1 and close to everything you need. Highly recommend.

I stayed 2 nights in the dorm at Coucou Lê Thị Riêng — one night booked through an app and one night booked directly (you’ll get a better rate that way 😉). Honestly, I was really satisfied with my stay! The dorm is simple but super clean. Each bed has a privacy curtain, reading light, personal socket, and locker, so even though it’s a shared room, it still felt quite private. The house is tucked away in a quiet little alley, just about a 5-minute walk from Bui Vien Street — very safe and not noisy at all. On the ground floor, there’s a peaceful garden with greenery and a few seats to relax. It really feels like a calm hideout right in the middle of Saigon. What I loved most was the vibe — friendly, relaxed, and not overly commercialized. In the morning, they offer bread and homemade jam, plus there’s a shared kitchen and a chill living area for everyone to use. The hosts were super sweet and helpful too! If you’re looking for a place that’s affordable, comfortable, and not too hectic, Coucou is definitely a great choice!

Your average hostel, nothing remarkable, good amenities relativley speaking.

The hotel has potential, but some of the amenities are quite old and in need of repair. The bed wasn’t very comfortable—I’ve stayed in cheaper places with better quality. On a positive note, they do provide hangers outside for drying wet clothes, which is a thoughtful touch for travelers.

The room was clean / cute and cozy but there is no lift tho so we need to climb up by ourselves when we came back from walking streets

Never returning for the rest of my days. The antithesis of warm, Vietnamese hospitality. I’m not going to get specific.

I had a pleasant stay at this hostel. The location is convenient, close to public transport and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit small. Common areas created a nice social vibe, perfect for meeting other travelers. Overall, good value for money and I would recommend it for short stays

Good location, a bit away from all the madness of the foreigner street. Can get a bit loud when many people are staying. Sometimes, you need to wait for a long while to go to the toilet. But the room was nice and comfortable, clean and had a pleasant smell. The AC worked perfectly and having a small sink in the room was very convenient. You can get drinking water at the reception for free. Recommended for travellers on a budget.
