Great for families (8/10)! This hotel, part of the Saigon Tourist group, is located right on the Saigon River, just 20-30 meters from the pedestrian street. Its location in Ho Chi Minh City is comparable to the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund in Shanghai or Raffles Hotel in Singapore. I especially loved the rooms facing the Saigon River. Each room has a small balcony, perfect for photos, where you can see cruise ships passing by. Stepping onto the balcony really gives off a French vibe.

Loved this hotel! The location speaks for itself—absolutely the best spot for a city walk, and the room was super quiet. Breakfast had a nice ambiance too. We got a room for around €uro 115 with a very large bed. This is a bit high compared to other rates in Saigon (on average, €50 is enough for a decent hotel in the heart of District 1), but it allowed us to have a very pleasant experience in this historic hotel with early 20th-century decor. We took the opportunity to take some lovely photos throughout the hotel. The breakfast room is a relaxing place with a view of the river and terrace seating. The breakfast buffet is very well stocked and combines Western and Asian dishes. The riverside location isn't ideal, and other hotels further inland in District 1 offer better locations for quick access to tourist attractions. However, it's a convenient spot for getting to the Water Bus dock. The historical sites in District 1 are a 30-45 minute walk away. The hotel staff communicate very well in English, and some even speak French.

An absolutely terrible experience! The whole hotel, apart from the lobby, felt creepy and eerie. The bathroom smelled bad, the mirror in the room faced the bed, and there was a huge mural on the wall with three women staring intensely at you, which gave me nightmares and palpitations all night. The room was advertised as 40 square meters but was actually only about 20 square meters! I couldn't even fully open my suitcase! I paid for four nights and wanted to check out early, but the hotel refused to refund my money no matter what. After a long, fruitless discussion, I had no choice but to book another hotel and escape. The experience was so bad and uncomfortable, it ruined my entire trip!
