Cloud Tribe Mongolian Yuan Culture Hotel (Dazhao Historical and Cultural Tourism Area Branch)

The pictures looked quite gaudy, which made me hesitate when booking, but the color scheme in reality is actually very pleasing. The room is spacious and very clean. The only thing is that the heating in Hohhot doesn't turn off until April 15th, so it was really hot at night. We had to turn on the AC.

Choosing this hotel for my Hohhot trip was absolutely the right decision! The Mongolian-themed room is just stunning, offering a fully immersive grassland experience. The dome ceiling and intricate ethnic decor details are fantastic, making it perfect for photos. The room itself is spacious and bright, with clean, soft bedding. The projector delivers a super clear picture, making for an amazing movie experience. The bathroom is spotless and features a wet/dry separation. They also thoughtfully provide complimentary bottled water and special tea sets. The window offers an expansive view of the old city streets. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the check-in process was smooth, showing great attention to detail. This place offers incredible value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot; it's definitely the top choice for accommodation!

Facilities: Well-equipped. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. Environment: Close to tourist attractions, right next to Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, making it very convenient for dining and sightseeing. Service: Warm and attentive. Late check-out until 2 PM. Also, complimentary welcome snacks!

Overall, it's pretty good. The decor has a Mongolian flair, and the location is excellent, very close to Dazhao Temple, God of Wealth Temple, and Guanyin Temple. The front desk lady was enthusiastic and parking is convenient and free. Now, for the less satisfactory points. Firstly, shower time needs to be controlled within 10 to 15 minutes. When my family showered, they didn't see the instructions on the wall (in picture 2), which resulted in me, the second person to shower, getting cold water halfway through. I was covered in soap suds and didn't know what to do. The front desk lady said we could shower again in about twenty minutes. For a hotel to have a limited hot water supply is quite… If I had known this, I probably wouldn't have booked this hotel. Secondly, there's no elevator, and the hotel is on the 3rd floor. I knew this from previous reviews, and since we didn't have much luggage, it wasn't a big deal for us. However, guests traveling with elderly people should take note ⚠️. Also, the painting of Genghis Khan's third brother on the wall next to the bed – the decor is already a bit dim, and seeing that at night was creepy. Personally, I think paintings like that would be more suitable for the hallway, but to each their own. Just providing a reference for future guests.

During the New Year's Day holiday, our family of six, including children and seniors, visited Hohhot and stayed for three consecutive nights. The hotel's location is excellent; we could easily walk to the Temple of Wealth, Dazhao Temple, Kuan Alley, Saishang Old Street, Xilitu Zhao, Baolhan Pagoda, and Guanyin Temple. On our second day, the driver for our chartered car to Qiandao Lake and Hongshiya was able to pull right up to the hotel entrance. The hotel has a strong local character in its decor. As it's a renovated ancient building, there's no elevator, but the rooms are incredibly spacious with separate wet and dry areas; the bathroom and toilet are also in separate cubicles. The bedding is comfortable, and every day we received local specialty snacks, which my daughter loved. Before we left, we even bought some from the front desk as souvenirs. Every staff member at the hotel was very enthusiastic. Dazhao Square had a fantastic festive atmosphere during New Year's Day, and we even got to set off fireworks – this holiday was definitely worth it!
