Mercure Hotel

The Swallow Hotel had excellent service. The rooms were soundproof and the breakfast was delicious.

The room exceeded my expectations, it was very comfortable. I stayed for several days and felt completely at ease. The hotel's service response was also very prompt. Oh, and the restaurant on the 30th floor is fantastic – though not large, the food is exquisite and varied, and the views are unbeatable. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance to visit Hohhot.

The room was spacious and bright with a fantastic view. Sitting by the window, I enjoyed the blue sky, clear water, and green lotus leaves during the day, and the dazzling Ferris wheel at night. The buffet breakfast was generous, and the service was excellent.

This hotel is perfectly situated right at the entrance of Qingcheng Park, surrounded by a commercial area and very close to Kuan Alley. It's also not far from Dazhao Temple. The rooms are quite spacious, offering great views from the window, and the evening light show from the park's Ferris wheel is simply stunning. The lobby and breakfast area are on the 30th floor. The staff are all very friendly and attentive, even thoughtfully providing a late-night snack service with porridge and noodles. The auntie in charge was also very considerate. While the breakfast selection isn't extensive, it covers all the essentials, including local Inner Mongolian specialties like shaomai and milk tea. My only minor complaint is the small ground-level parking lot, which required us to use the multi-story parking garage. However, there was a dedicated attendant to assist, so it wasn't too much of a hassle.

This time I chose a hotel based on my child's preferences, prioritizing a convenient location with good food and shopping nearby. I feel like I made the perfect choice with Mercure Hotel. It's on Hohhot's busiest street, yet it's surprisingly quiet. There's also Qingcheng Park downstairs for a stroll, and it's conveniently located an appropriate distance from the city's attractions. The restaurant upstairs serves delicious food, and the breakfast selection is plentiful. From now on, when I travel, I'll definitely keep the Mercure brand in mind~

The location is great, right across from Kuan Alley and close to the city center. It's also just a short taxi ride to Saishang Old Street and Jokhang Temple. The front desk is on the top floor, and the three elevators aren't enough during peak hours, so you have to wait a long time to go up and down. It would be more reasonable to have it on the first floor. The service and facilities are good, and the price is fair. However, I left a bottle of skincare product in the bathroom when I checked out, and the staff said they couldn't find it, which is a bit disappointing.

I stayed here for 3 consecutive days, and the location is absolutely fantastic! Zhongshan West Road is very lively, a real commercial hub. Right downstairs is Qingcheng Park, the 'city's green lung,' and the lotus flowers there are stunning! It's so convenient for a stroll. A taxi to Dazhao Temple takes only 7 minutes, and you can walk to Kuan Alley in just 3 minutes. The breakfast spread was quite generous and tasty! The high-altitude restaurant's food was excellent. Since my parents and kids don't eat lamb, we basically had all our meals at the Jiangnan High-Altitude Restaurant on the 30th floor. Xiao Dong and Fanfan (or perhaps Fancan? I can't quite remember her name) at the front desk saw I had a child with me and helped me with a late check-out, even gifting us some fridge magnets. They were so kind and beautiful, making us feel right at home. Hohhot is a great summer escape, nice and cool! This Mercure hotel is a wonderful place to stay!
