Service:
The front desk service was good. Diamond members were greeted warmly upon check-in, and welcome fruits and a handwritten welcome card were already placed in the room.
The housekeeping staff were older ladies who were very efficient and had a great attitude.
However, there were some service issues: #1. I booked an executive room for my family, and when they gave the room number for breakfast, they were told there was no breakfast. After contacting the front desk, they were still told there was no breakfast, and they had to stand there for a few minutes before being told there was breakfast after all. #2. At the executive lounge's happy hour, there were no high chairs available, and they said they only had them in the restaurant downstairs.
Location and Transportation:
The hotel is located directly opposite the southwest corner of Qingcheng Park, with the main entrance facing west. The north entrance leads to the parking lot. It's very close to Dazhao Temple and the Shaomai street, and there's also a mall diagonally opposite.
Room Facilities:
I booked a suite. Upon entering, there's a sink and a smart toilet on the left, but the toilet doesn't have a heating function. The luggage rack and clothes rack are located in a circular corridor connecting the small living room and the bathroom, and it has motion-sensor lights. The office environment in the living room is average, and the desk is a small round table. There's only one power outlet next to the round table, which was already occupied by a humidifier. I later had to ask housekeeping for an extra power strip. The TV in the living room has average clarity, and there aren't many channels available.
Tea bags and coffee are standard. They provided 6 bottles of Purified Water, and there were no additional complimentary drinks in the mini-fridge. The welcome fruit selection wasn't large but included 5 types, including the less common ginseng fruit.
The slippers are thick-soled, so they don't slip on the tiled floor. Two sets of bathrobes were provided by default, one of which was fleece-lined.
The bathtub isn't very big, and a loofah was provided, but it takes a while to fill. The showerhead's direction was off and couldn't be adjusted, and the rainfall showerhead had weak water pressure.
Cleanliness:
The room was cleaned quite well.
Soundproofing:
I stayed over New Year's Eve, and there were people setting off fireworks until 3 or 4 AM. I could hear everything clearly. On the 25th floor facing north, the glass genuinely offered no soundproofing. The noise from traffic and car horns on the road was constant.
Breakfast:
The breakfast variety wasn't extensive. They had unique lamb offal soup and milk tea. The freshly cooked noodle station had very few braised options, and they were just average. There were many Western pastries but very few Chinese dishes.
Executive Lounge:
The executive lounge only opens in the evening. Happy hour can serve as a proper dinner, with several hot dishes and good quality.
