Reu Boutique Hotel

The atmosphere was nice, but there were bugs in the room. I also found bugs in the welcome fruit, which put me off eating it. The shower room also had dirt, leading to more bugs. This place would be great for someone who doesn't mind insects, but those who do should be cautious. The bed, however, was wonderfully soft and comfortable.

We stayed as 2 adults and 1 child. What we liked: * The exterior and interior were both charming and stylish. * The staff were incredibly kind and friendly. They even picked flowers for our 5-year-old daughter as a gift. * Free rental of bicycles with child seats was available. We cycled through the rice paddies with our child. Seeing so many water buffalo was a fantastic activity. * The breakfast was delicious. The 'mien ga' (chicken noodle soup) made fresh right in front of us was exquisite. I was also pleased with the wide selection of coffee, from black to lattes and cappuccinos. * Regarding the location, I had imagined it would be inconvenient, being in the middle of rice fields, but it's surprisingly convenient. You can reach a street with restaurants and shops in about a 5-minute walk. * We even saw a large lizard by the pool, which delighted our child. A word of caution for those who dislike reptiles! What we didn't like: * It was a bit inconvenient that no towel was provided for the child (though this might be standard practice in Vietnamese hotels, not just this one). * We had arranged for an airport pickup, but despite giving them our arrival flight details, there was no one at the exit. We had to search around for about 30 minutes, which was a definite downside.

The room was spacious with a consistent color scheme, and the air conditioning was excellent. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, stable water pressure, and even some greenery. However, it seems there was an oversight in the initial design, as there's no ventilation in the bathroom or toilet. I had to open the door mid-shower to air it out. The breakfast was plentiful, and the pho was delicious. I stayed for two nights, and the breakfast offerings changed slightly each morning, which was a nice surprise. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to the ancient town and the beach, and there's a spa downstairs – perfect for a staycation. When it's windy during the day, you can see the outdoor rice paddies ripple like waves, making it a truly romantic spot.

Staying at this hotel has been a dream come true for me, especially since I've always wanted to experience it during my visits to Hoi An. The kids absolutely loved splashing around in the pool and were thrilled with the charming design of our room. Breakfast was a delightful buffet, and they enjoyed picking out their favorite foods. The beautiful scenery also added to our relaxed and enjoyable stay. It was truly a memorable trip for our whole family. We would definitely love to stay here again on our next visit to Hoi An.

We had a truly wonderful time. The pool and interior design were lovely! If I ever get the chance to visit Hoi An again, I'd definitely want to stay at this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here in July 2026. Let's start with the positives: The breakfast was tasty (not a huge selection, but good quality), and the green rice paddies made it feel like a village. The ladies at the reception and the waitresses were always ready to help – thank you to them. Now for the negatives: The first and biggest issue is something constantly biting you in bed – either fleas or something else. We were itching terribly! The 'king-size' bed was actually two mattresses that kept sliding apart, and there definitely seemed to be fleas. Secondly, there were ants running around. The hairdryer constantly overheated. The air conditioning blew directly onto the bed, so you'd catch a cold instantly. If you turned it off, it got hot. The room was quite dark, there were condensation stains, and the furniture was worn out. And to top it all off, check-out was at 12 PM, but we left at 3 PM, and they charged us 790,000 for those three extra hours. This completely ruined our impression! They really need to get rid of the bugs and fleas. We do not recommend this hotel!

Stylish and good. It was about a 30-minute walk from the city center, but it wasn't inconvenient as there were restaurants nearby and Grab rides were cheap.
