Rockmouse Centre River Villa Hoi An

I'm starting to humbly accept the fact that hotels in Vietnam look much better in photos than in real life. I don't understand why they do this, but the fact remains – in real life, the hotel is a bit shabby, not perfectly clean, average, but okay. It's just that when you see the photos and the reality, it's always disappointing because expectations are higher. How can I explain this to the owners of these businesses? About the hotel – our room ended up without a window. When I complained, they offered me one with a window, but there was karaoke right outside, so we declined. The hotel's pluses include Wi-Fi, an elevator (very important for some), and breakfast, which is made to order. We also rented a bike quickly and easily through the owners. There's also a small pool, but the area around it is unkempt, and no one seems to be wiping down the sun loungers to use it.

It was very convenient and easy to access Hoi An Old Town and the night market. Breakfast was a style where you could choose from the menu, but the tour departed early both times during the two nights, so we could only choose the menu that was served the soonest, which was disappointing. Still, the staff was very kind and prepared breakfast earlier than the regular breakfast time. The shower had a glass wall between the sink and the shower, so the sink got wet when you used it. The floor was slippery when wet, but there were flip-flops in the room, and I wore them when I took a shower and it wasn't slippery, so I recommend using sandals. The towels were thin and quite well-used, so they were not very absorbent. The hair dryer was quite weak, so it took a long time to dry my hair. The facilities were a little old, but overall I think it was a good hotel.
