An Bang Beach Chay Villas

We stayed for 3 weeks. The room was perfect and they cleaned it on request. They provided a good breakfast with many choices every day and two bottles of water. The owners, a local family, could not have been nicer or more helpful made us feel very at home - we actually extended our stay as the experience was so good. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. Lovely clean pool. Location also perfect for everything. Tons of restaurants of all types, spas, and very close to beach.

We were due to come and stay here last week as a family of 4. However a week before we were going to fly out we were told that there was building work nearby and as there would be lots of noise and dust, did we want to cancel? This caused us alot of stress as we had little time to sort out somewhere else. However we chose to change our booking. While we were visiting Hoi An we decided to go and see how bad the building work was as I had recommended the villa to some friends. Sadly there was no building work and we were told the whole villa was instead rented out to a research group. I understand this would have made the owners more money but I was upset by the lack of integrity and honesty.

This is a really neat place to live! The vibe is perfect for me, the place is quite clean, nice pool, and many more qualities, just too many for me to count. The only negative thing about this place is that there are quite a lot of bugs. A huge centipede was crawling around in my shower and I freaked out! But other than that, this place is nice. If you come here, make sure to put your food and drinks away right after you finish it!

We arrived in the late evening and got a little lost because a lot of the hotels and home stays are up lovely little side streets. Our room was clean n the third floor in a loft room which was difficult to stand up in and I’m only 5’2. Also, the bathroom and toilet is in the bedroom so there is no privacy from the person you’re sharing with or anyone who comes to the door (see photos). The toilet is at the front GLASS door! Ky , the guy managing Chay Villas is really lovely, as are the other staff. We were made to feel welcome and he even made sure we had breakfast, as a vegan it’s not always possible to make use of the breakfast included in the room bookings. It’s got a lovely pool and a kitchen area. I think this place is successful because of the staff and I would say, DO NOT stay in the rooms at the top or you will be extremely disappointed.

Pool wasn’t clean enough

We stayed at Chay villa as a family of 8 for 7 nights. The staff are lovely, you have 24 hour security. The security man lives across the lane, and is always there which makes you feel very safe. The villa/rooms are cleaned every second day. Sang the manager is very helpful and can assist with any needs, nothing is ever too much. The location is great, around 5 min walk to the beach, less to various restaurants, spas and shops. There are many restaurants along the beach with beach lounges and umbrellas, just buy a drink/food and you can use them. You are around a 10-15min drive to Hoi An, we used Grab and it was very affordable, approx. $5 AUD one way. Breakfast can be arranged at the villa for an additional cost, very reasonable and nice. However so many restaurants in a short walking distance. Pool was lovely. Clean, warm and large with 4 pool lounges and several outdoor chairs. There was plenty of space for a family of 8. The configuration of the villa is a little strange. There is a great kitchen/dining/living area that can be open air or closed off with air conditioning, with a large fridge. 5 bedrooms are around the main pool area, three upstairs and two downstairs. The other two bedrooms are around the back of the villa up three flights of external stairs. These are very private but also feel quite removed from the others. Would not be ideal for children on their own or anyone that struggles with stairs or wanted to be close to other rooms. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Chay Villas, great family villa to relax and enjoy the beach vibes. Thank you Chay Villa
