Maison Hai Homestay Hoi An

The homestay is ran by a lovely couple who are very friendly and helpful. They live on site so were present and each time we returned to the homestay Mr Hai was present to help us with anything we needed or a chit chat. It was a great room with a big comfy bed, it was clean and the room had all you needed to enjoy your stay. There was lots of storage space and the air con was wonderful to. When we arrived we were provided with great advice on activities to do and he even booked one of the events for us which was super helpful. It was a short distance walk to the main attractions of hoi an but just out enough to enjoy a quiet sleep, it is a perfect location. The homestay has a real authentic and homey feel about it and it was just lovely the two nights we spent here. We have two more days in hoi an due to last minute plan changes and we would have stayed here longer if they had the availability, we didnt want to leave and we would have spent our whole stay at this homestay if we could have! Maison Hai Homestay is a true mom-and-pop boutique hotel, and that’s exactly what makes it special. The owners live on site and are an incredibly kind and welcoming couple. They greeted us warmly upon arrival, spent time chatting with us, shared local recommendations, and genuinely checked in to see if we needed anything at all. The rooms were perfect and exactly as expected—very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. Some rooms have a balcony, which is a lovely place to sit and enjoy tea or whatever you choose. The location is about a 15-minute walk to the river, but the walk is enjoyable with plenty of shops and distractions along the way. A few things to note for travelers: this is more of a boutique homestay experience. You remove your shoes when entering and leave them at the door, and the bathroom has a wet-room style shower where the whole bathroom gets wet. Neither of these were an issue for us at all—especially given how clean everything was and how kind the hosts are. An added bonus: the owner can arrange airport pickup from Da Nang. We didn’t use it, but it was actually cheaper than Grab—so it’s worth taking advantage of. He also arranged a private driver for us (not a tour guide, just a driver) using a custom itinerary we created. The driver took us from Hoi An to various sites along the way and into Da Nang, which worked perfectly. Overall, a great place to stay with wonderful hosts. Clean, comfortable, welcoming, and excellent value. I would absolutely recommend Maison Hai Homestay and would happily stay here again.

Everything about this place was simply AMAZING. (1) The owner of the place, Mr. Hai, was incredibly helpful and responsive. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. He had great recommendations for attractions and restaurants, but also had contacts to arrange logistics easily. (2) The location was just 10 minutes of a walk away from the Old Town -- close enough for this place to be accessible, far enough to be away from the chaos when it's time to go back. (3) Our room and the rest of the homestay were very clean -- dare I say, spotless. 10/10 recommend.

The homestay is managed by a very elegant couple who are immensely caring and helpful. The room is spotless, spacious, has lots of storage space and the washroom is spotlessly clean. It is less than 600m from the old town and is located close to all the major instagram points in hoi-an. You can enjoy a comfortable stay and you can get all recommendations for food and planning a memorable stay at hoi-an. highly recommended.

This was the nicest homestay I’ve ever stayed in. Mr. Hai and his wife are so warm and welcoming we ended up staying an extra day. The house is beautiful and the linens are all spotless. Mr. Hai offers bicycles to guests and is always happy to make recommendations on where to go and how to get there. I would highly recommend this homestay.
