The rooms were lovely, clean and roomy. The breakfast was good. However it said check in was until 02:00 but no one was there when we arrived and we waited half an hour

ANCIENT RIVER VILLA is a rural romance: a villa among rice fields, silence, greenery, birds singing and ants rustling in your room. The guest house is located right between the sea and the old town of Hoi An, both are about 10 minutes away by bike. By the way, bikes are provided for free here, and this is a real salvation, because there are no shops or cafes nearby at all. There is a small pool on the territory, but it asks to be cleaned - you can swim, but you will not feel like a mermaid from an advertisement. Breakfasts are simple: a dish, a drink and fruit. If you do not expect a buffet, then it will do. Wi-Fi is unstable, especially in the evening, when, apparently, the signal goes to meditate with a view of the field. The air conditioner blows vigorously, but the filters require attention - the dust there is clearly older than the old city itself. Ancient River Villa is superbly designed to allow large windows, light and a large balcony on each room. Our room was very tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. While we didn’t use the pool, it was very inviting. A perfect location for a tasty breakfast. The villa is on the outskirts of Hoi An which made for a quiet, peaceful stay which we needed after the bustle of HCMC. Our host, Zung, was very friendly, sincerely interested in our travel plans, and very helpful when we needed advice. Bikes were readily available for a pleasant ride into Hoi An Old Town. If we are ever lucky enough to visit Hoi An again, we would definitely stay at Ancient River Villa.

Brilliant stay here at Ancient river villa! It is located in a quiet area a few kilometres outside Hoi An old town but closer to the wonderful beach. Clean facilities and big rooms. The staff are easy to speak with and very helpful. Book your scooter there to get around, but the free bicycles are also a great option.
